Research college applications, financial aid and scholarship information
Order your cap and gown (Herff Jones) before December 20th
Sign up for the SAT and/or ACT and send your scores to colleges/universities you are applying to.
Line up counselor/teacher recommendations-give the counselor or teacher at least 10 days or more to write your recommendation. You need to complete a Student Brag Sheet in order to request a recommendation. (Note that not all schools require a letter of recommendation).

If you plan to be a college athlete, register with the NCAA Clearinghouse.
If interested in the military, talk with recruiters and take the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) Test.
Participate in College Application Day, sponsored by CFNC.
Apply for FAFSA in October and attend Financial Aid Night.
Finish your senior year strong. We send a final transcripts to the college/university you plan to attend. DO NOT GET SENIORITIS!
A student must earn a minimum of 24 total credits to graduate. Those credits must include:
Four (4) credits of English (English I, English II, English III, English IV)
Four (4) credits of Math (Math 1, Math 2, Math 3, and a fourth Math aligned with post-secondary plans)
Four (4) credits of Social Studies (World History, Founding Principles, American History, Economics and Personal Finance)
Three (3) credits of Science (Earth/Environmental, Biology, a Physical Science)
Eight (8) credits of Electives (Two must be a CTE/Art/Foreign Language)
One (1) credit of Health and PE
