The Academy of Engineering

Hello potential AOE students and families! 

This is your opportunity to join one of the most outstanding learning communities within Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools! 

By joining our Academy of Engineering, you will receive the benefits of belonging to NAF, our governing organization, and the many opportunities that will open to you. You will be exposed to hands-on learning through the award-winning Project Lead the Way (PLTW) curriculum, engage in stimulating Work-Based Learning (WBL) activities, have access to scholarships, and the opportunity to complete a compensated internship prior to graduation

Your teachers will also work in tandem creating lessons that make your subject matter relevant to the real world! If you decide to apply there are a few details you need to be aware of:

· There is an annual assessment per student that is used for operating expenses beyond what CMS provides

· There will be a summer workshop for all new academy students that you are strongly encouraged to attend (TBD - early August. You will be notified via email and our social media platforms) IG: indy_aoe

-There is an internship and work-based learning requirement.
