William A. Hough High School PTSA

Hough High School

PTSA Welcome

Hello new and returning students, families, and faculty to the 2020-2021 school year. As this school year begins under such unprecedented circumstances, we want to let you know that the PTSA is committed to supporting the entire Hough family. Even though students will not be learning in the actual school building to start this year, the PTSA will still be providing the programs and support that it has done in years past. As is customary, the PTSA will kick off its annual membership drive. Since students will not be returning to school to return your form you can join and donate online at https://hough.memberhub.store/.

If you prefer to fill out the form, you can return it to the front office or mail it to school marked PTSA. (12420 Bailey Road, Cornelius NC 28031) PTSA Membership Form

Do you wonder where PTSA funds go? All funds raised through membership and Husky Fund Direct Donations go directly toward the following programs:

§ Classroom Materials and Improved Technology and Software

§ Student Incentives and Character Recognition

§ Scholarships

§ School Beautification….. just to name a few

How can you help?

§ First and foremost, join the PTSA.

§ Donate to the Husky Fund Direct Donation Campaign - the PTSA's main source of income.

§ Relink your Harris Teeter VIC Card to earn funds through the Together in Education Program - link to Hough PTSA #8376 (you can link up to 5 numbers at one time).

§ Register online with Publix for Publix Partner Program - link to Hough PTSA.

§ When shopping online with Amazon, shop through Amazon Smile (www.smile.amazon.com) and select PTA North Carolina Congress William A Hough High School PTSA.

§ Dine in at participating restaurants when the PTSA hosts Hough spirit nights several times a year.

Interested in Volunteering: At this current time visitors are not allowed in the school on a regular basis. As volunteer needs arise, we will advertise in the Howler. When students and staff return to the building, we will send volunteer interest forms to families. If you have a specific skill or want to be included for any special projects please email houghhighptsa@gmail.com.

If you have not done so, be sure to subscribe to and read the Hough Howler. This is the main form of communication for our school. Also, check out the Hough and PTSA website, our Facebook page, and sign up for Twitter news to keep informed of everything at Hough. In addition, the school website has links to many Hough departments including the Student Services website which has great information for everyone. If anyone you know needs the Howler or other school or PTSA information in another language, please contact me and I can refer you to someone that can assist.
