Naviance Quick Tips

12th graders should:

Request Transcripts
Keep “Colleges I’m Applying To” list up to date
Request letters of recommendation from teachers
Monitor and update status of application, including:
Method of application (common app or direct to institution)
Deadlines
Letters of recommendation requested and submitted
Admissions decisions
Research and link to scholarship applications
Indicate where final transcript should be sent

9th, 10th and 11th graders can:

Access unweighted GPA, weighted GPA, and class rank
Periodically update résumé
Complete career interest inventories and explore careers
Begin looking at potential colleges & update “College I’m Thinking About” section accordingly
Research scholarships to prepare for senior year applications

Students: Log into Naviance

From your High School’s website, or the CMS District Website (www.wearecms.com), complete the following steps to log into your Naviance account:

Click on the “Students” tab at the top of the screen
Click on “Student Portal”
Click on the Naviance" icon at the bottom of the page
Login using your NCEdCloud Username and Password

Parents:

Parents can access Naviance in 2 ways:

Through their student's account
Request a separate access code.

Email your student's counselor to request access code

Please NOTE: Parent Access is VIEW-ONLY. You will not be able to alter your students information.
