Grading Policy

A     90 - 100%

B     80 - 89%

C     70 - 79%

D     60 - 69%

F     59% and below

Prepare

These will make up 20% of your quarterly grade.

Assignments include: homework, warm ups, exit tickets.

Rehearse

These will make up 30% of your quarterly grade.

Assignments include: Quizzes, mini-assessments, mini-projects, and classwork.

Perform

These will make up 50% of your quarterly grade.

Assignments include: Unit assessments & projects

Late Work

Late penalty of 5 points per day (unless absent) will be deducted for late work.

Late to Class

All students are expected to arrive to school on time. All tardy students must report to the Attendance Office to receive an excused or unexcused pass to first block. 

Absent from Class

Absent 0-10 days per semester - Passing

Absent more than 10 days - Automatic Fail

How to Make Up Days

Tutoring- you make up 1 day missed

Attendance Recovery - you make up 2 days missed

If you are absent:

If you are absent, you will have 5 school days to make up your missing assignments for 100% credit. Please find your missing work located on the Daily Slides for your class. You can access the Daily Slides from Canvas. 

If you missed a test day, you will have to come in outside of class time (see tutoring schedule) within a week to take the test for full credit.

Retesting:

If you are unhappy with a test grade, you may do test corrections before you are allowed to take a RETAKE test for a better grade. The retake will allow you to receive up to a 80% score.

Missing assignments:

If you are here when an assignment is given, you must turn your work in on time. Failure to submit work on time will result in a lower grade. You are also responsible for keeping track of each assignment you are given.
