NAF’s educational design ignites students’ passion for learning and gives businesses the opportunity to shape America’s future workforce by transforming the learning environment to include STEM infused, industry-specific curricula and work-based learning experiences, including internships.
Career & Technical Student Organizations
Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO) at Olympic enhance student learning through contextual instruction, leadership and personal development, applied learning and real world application. CTSOs work as an integral component of the classroom curriculum and instruction, building upon employability and career skills and concepts through the application and engagement of students in hands-on demonstrations and real-life and/or work experiences through a Career and Technical Education (CTE) program.
National Technical Honor Society
The National Technical Honor Society is an honor society for outstanding career and technical students. The National Technical Honor Society at Olympic High School honors, recognizes, and empowers students and teachers in Career & Technical Education.
Career & College Promise
(Dual Enrollment at Olympic Link)
The Career & College Promise Program is North Carolina’s dual enrollment program that allows and pays for tuition for eligible NC high school juniors and seniors to enroll in college classes at CPCC). Students earn college credit and high school credit for practically no cost to them. CCP courses can be a 4- year university transfer course or a career technical certificate course. Students can choose from online or face-to-face classes at CPCC.
ACT WorkKeys Assessment
ACT WorkKeys is an assessment that tests students' job skills in applied reading, writing, mathematics and essential skills. Scores are based on job profiles that help employers select, hire, train, develop and retain a highperformance workforce. All CTE students are required to take the assessment! This test is facilitated every year at Olympic High School.
