The HS Chorus Honors Ensemble program is designed to give county vocalists the opportunity to participate in an advanced large ensemble under the direction of a guest conductor. Students are chosen and seated according to the individual school directors. Music is selected by the directors and the guest conductor. The guest conductor conducts the final rehearsals and concert.

Pre-Event Reminders
November 21st (12:30-12:45 arrival time; rehearsal from 1pm-5pm) and 22nd (8:30-8:45 arrival time; rehearsal from 9am-3pm and lunch; 3:30pm-4pm FREE performance)
Directors should have emergency/medical info and contact list for participants.
Students will wear long black pants and their choral t-shirt (or school shirt if the department does not have choral t-shirts) for the final performance. Wear this on Saturday.
Students bring their lunch on Saturday or if your director has coordinated lunch, that can be
prepared in advance by the school.
NWSA Parking, Drop off and Pick up Info
Parking Lot Directions:
Turn onto Celia Avenue (located left of the school building)
Go over two speed bumps
Take the first right after the second speed bump. *The first entrance after the first speed bump is a construction entrance. Do not enter there!
Enter the parking lot.
Pick-Up Instructions:
Turn in the parking lot and park in any open parking spot.
Rides should be ready to pick up by 5:00 PM on Friday, November 21.
Concert Parking:
Park in the Bus Lot (located to the right of the school building)
Rides should be ready to pick up by 4:00 PM on Saturday, November 22.
Auditorium Entrance:
After parking in the bus lot, walk back to the street and turn right. Walk towards the school, passing the colorful entrance of the school building.
The entrance of the auditorium will be directly in front of you. It is the glass paned doors to the left of the main school entrance.
FRIDAY INFORMATION:
For Bus & Car Drop-Offs:
Please drop off in the bus lot. The bus lot is located off of Beatties Ford Road and to the right of the school building (if you are looking straight at it). After being dropped off, please walk towards the front of the school building and continue past the rainbow-colored entrance on your right. Then enter the auditorium lobby where you will be directed to pass through the Evolv Scanners. Once that process has been completed, you will exit the auditorium lobby, go back outside, and go around the corner of the building keeping the auditorium on your right. Then you will enter the E Building (Performing Arts Building, gray in color) across from the mobile units/trailers.
For Parking:
Teachers and Parent Chaperones should park in the back parking lot. These individuals should turn onto Celia Avenue which is located to the left of the school building. Once on Celia Avenue, take your first right after going over the second speed bump. You may park in any open parking spot. Then walk up through the construction awning, up the brick staircase, and take a right and stay on the sidewalk with the gray building on your left. Continue past the gray building and walk past the brick building and turn the corner to your left. This is the auditorium which you will enter the lobby and be directed to pass through the Evolv Scanners. Once that process has been completed, you will exit the auditorium lobby, go back outside, and go around the corner of the building keeping the auditorium on your right (going back the way you came). Then you will enter the E Building (Performing Arts Building, gray in color) across from the mobile units/trailers.
ALL Participants should then head to the second floor and locate room E201 which is the High School Chorus Room where we will have registration and begin our rehearsal time together.

Jasmine Fripp is a Grammy-nominated music educator and the Director of Choral Activities at Tennessee State University, where she leads the University Choir, the Meistersingers, and the newly reinstated TSU Showstoppers Showchoir. She is also the founder of The Passionate Black Educator, a platform that empowers music educators and advocates for holistic, culturally responsive education for Black and Brown students.
With nearly a decade of experience in public and charter schools, Fripp has developed award-winning choral programs known for excellence and cultural relevance. Her students have performed at Bridgestone Arena, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and the Nashville Schermerhorn Symphony Center, and have shared the stage with The Clark Sisters, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, and Tiera Kennedy. Fripp and her students have also provided background vocals for country artist Levi Hummon.
A sought-after clinician and speaker, Fripp is celebrated for blending choral music, Hip Hop, and innovative pedagogy. She is a recording artist, songwriter, and member of The W. Crimm Singers, and holds degrees from Winthrop and Belmont Universities.
