I have a graduate degree from East Carolina University in special education and currently, I am the lead teacher for students with visual impairments at CMS. My 35 years of experience has been with students having multiple disabilities as well as students with visual impairments. In addition to the public school, I have worked in group homes and was the administrator of a residential center for children and adults with special needs. I first became interested in using assistive devices with students who were unable to communicate. My interest in assistive technology continued to grow as new technologies were developed that provided students with better access and enhanced their independence.

I have enjoyed working with CMS since 2007. I'm a 2nd generation Charlottean and CMS alumni who loves to find ways to fill the gaps between access and participation. My interest in helping professions began with my father who was diagnosed with ALS when I was 4. He was always able to participate despite his physical limitations and I want to help ensure that's the case for everyone. I have 3 kiddos and love spending time gardening and playing in the water.

I have enjoyed working as a SLP for over 30 years. With degrees from Miami University and the University of Akron, I am state licensed and hold ASHA certification. My passion for augmentative and alternative communication has allowed me to work in a variety of settings including rehabilitation, private practice and public schools. I'm originally from Ohio, but I have found my southern home after 31 years in NC.

I've been a SLP in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools since 2010. I have enjoyed working in elementary, middle and high schools. I'm originally from the Philadelphia area and I graduated from the Pennsylvania State University for both my undergraduate and master degrees. I hold ASHA certification, North Carolina and South Carolina state licenses. I have enjoyed supporting students using augmentative and alternative communication since college.

I have been working with CMS since 2021. I worked at Reid Park Academy before moving into my role as Assistive Technology Technician. I enjoy volunteering and helping children . I am a volunteer at Reid Park, and I am still involved in the lives of numerous children at the school . I have 2 children , Keith Jr. and a daughter Jasmine. I enjoy reading ,classic tv shows, sports , and listening to the Rod Lucas Show in London, England.

I went to College of Charleston, then Medical University of South Carolina, obtaining my Master's in OT in 2002. Since that time, I've worked with pediatric populations in the public school system, in charter schools, and in outpatient pediatric clinics. I love helping students unlock their potential through gaining skills to give them as much independence as possible. I have a special interest in assistive technology. I have over 15 years of experience working as an OT in the public school system.

I have a dual Master’s Degree in the education of students with Visual Impairments and Orientation & Mobility from the University of Pittsburgh and a Ph.D. in Instructional Technology from Virginia Tech. I got involved with technology while helping students access their material via an Apple IIe computer with a speech synthesizer card and have worked in numerous settings adapting technologies to meet the individual needs of students with visual impairments and conducted trainings for teachers and administrators in the use of technology. I am also an Apple Distinguished Educator.

I am a SLP who has enjoyed working with Augmentative Communication since graduating from undergrad at Bowling Green State University and graduate school at Cleveland State. Prior to coming to Charlotte, I worked in Chicago doing Augmentative Communication for Easter Seals and Chicago Public Schools. My husband and I have 2 children and we spend our time mountain biking and playing outside.
