Hey Cougar Fam! My name is Tamia Lipscomb. This is my first year as a School Counselor and I am so excited to be a part of the student services team. I graduated from UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, and a minor in Public Health. I am still a student at UNC Charlotte in the Masters of Arts in Counseling program. In my free time, I love being around my friends, having group Facetime calls with my family, constantly rewatching my favorite TV shows, and attempting to further develop my cooking skills. I also enjoy going to music festivals and being outside spending time in the community.

Hello Chambers family! My name is Samantha Rodriguez. I am second-generation Puerto Rican-American and very proud of my "Nuyorican" roots. I am originally from Queens, NY but my family moved to the beautiful Queen City when I was 12 years old. I will always be a city girl at heart, but Charlotte is my home now. I enjoy movies, shows, cooking, baking, concerts, and spending quality time with my loved ones.
I am a graduate of CMS myself (Class of 2013) and obtained my Bachelor's in 2017, majoring in Psychology and a double minor in Sociology & Criminal Justice from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I also obtained my Master's in Counseling from UNCC with a concentration in both School Counseling and Mental Health Counseling in 2023. I am eager to be a part of the Chambers team and I look forward to meeting you all.

Hello! My name is Yasmine Simmons, and I'm so excited to join the Cougar Family this school year! I am from Lynchburg, VA (two up, two down!), and I got my Bachelor's Degree in Political Science at Virginia Tech, and my Master's Degree in Counseling at UNC Charlotte. I have lived in Charlotte for 7 years, and I recently married my college sweetheart. I am an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles (Fly Eagles Fly!) and Miami Heat and I love to talk about sports. I also coach soccer for Parks and Rec. I enjoy getting outside, and watching my favorite shows, and movies under 2 hours long! I am here to serve my students and help you reach your goals. My name is Amy Cochran and I am thrilled to be serving as a school counselor at Julius L. Chambers High for students with last names Ho-McCo. I have been working in education as a certified English teacher and as a school counselor for 17 years. I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Liberty University. I enjoy assisting students in schedule planning, college exploration, personal issues, or anything that is important to students. I have been married to my husband, Corey, for 32 years and have four children, Ellie, Justus, Isaac and Sam. As a parent and as a school counselor, I understand the significance of a positive school experience and will strive to help each student to thrive.

Jermaine Sloan has a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary studies from the University of South Carolina Upstate. He is currently enrolled in the Counseling program at Lenoir Rhyne University, where he will receive his master's in Mental health Counseling. Mr. Sloan has been involved in special education programs for over 9 years. He began his journey with East Mecklenburg High school, followed by Vance High School, and then Bradford Preparatory. Last year Mr. Sloan joined Christ-Centered Community Counseling, where he worked closely with Movement staff to close the disparity gap between affluent and marginalized communities by providing an option of faith-based counseling and mental health care. Mr. Sloan looks forward to returning to Julius Chambers to support students academic, career, and personal development

My name is Amanda Saunders and I am ecstatic to be serving as a school counselor at Julius Chambers High School. Over the 20 years I have been in education, I have served as a social studies teacher, a math teacher, and a school counselor for the past 6 years. I am a native Charlottean and graduate of West Charlotte High School. I have a BA in History from University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and a Master's of Science in School Counseling from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. I am a mother of 3 young ladies. I enjoy working out, reading, and finding different things to try.

Hello Chambers family,
My name is Jorge Regalado and I am very excited to work here this school year. I am originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, but have been living in Charlotte since 2005. I am an alumni and it is a great feeling to work at the high school I graduated from. I love soccer, enjoy reading and everything related to personal growth, exercising, dancing, taking walks with my dog, traveling with my wife, hanging out with family and friends, and going out to eat. I consider myself as passionate, entrepreneurial, caring, calm, joyful, and helpful.
I took a year off after graduating high school, then I went to CPCC to get an Associates in Arts and transferred to UNCC to earn a Bachelor’s in Arts with a concentration in Psychology and a minor in dance. Immediately after that I stayed at UNCC to obtain a Masters in Counseling with a focus in school counseling. Please reach out to me for any assistance or if having any questions

I am Jennette V. Bynum, I am your school social worker. I have the awesome pleasure of serving all students that attend Chambers High School. My primary role is to reduce or eliminate any barriers that may affect a student from being academically and or emotionally successful. My goal is to ensure that each student has the opportunity to maximize his or her academic potential. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you and your student. I believe the sky is the limit and you set your limit.
On a personal note. I grew up in the Virginia area. I have one brother and two sisters. I am married and have two children. I hold a Master's Degree from East Carolina University. Go Pirates!

Hello! I am Courtney Hawkins, the McKinney Vento Social Worker. My focus this year is to provide for students and their families that my be experiencing a housing crisis. I am excited to be a member of the Chambers family. I am originally from Virginia but due to my husband's military service, I've lived in Texas and Louisiana. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Human Services Counseling from Old Dominion University and my Masters of Social Work from Norfolk State University. I have two sons. My oldest is attending the University of Tennessee and my youngest is a spoiled elementary school student.
