Use the following chart to answer the reading comprehension questions. Include your answer and direct quotation from the text. Answers must be in complete sentences. If you do not have enough space to answer the question, you may write your response on a separate sheet of paper.

Choose one of the following questions to answer

  1. Rewrite a part of the story from the perspective of either the old lady or Martin’s father. Think about what we have learned from each character and what would change based on their point of view.
  2. Create your own resolution for the story. What do you think happens next?

Prepositional Phrases

September 7th:

  • Today we started taking notes on the steps of a hero's journey. All the information and assignments can be found on Canvas under the "What Makes a Hero?" module. If you have any questions, let me know.

Students also turned in their Prove It! worksheets and the extension activity. 1A and 2A also turned in the editorial paragraph. If you need copies of something, email me.

Late update! We have taken notes on Infinitive Phrases. Hero's journey projects have been submitted to Canvas.

1A/2A started working with the poem "Ithaka" and using the TPCASTT method of poetry analysis

3A used the white paper annotation method to read the story "Pandora's Box" online.
