The Aspiring Leaders Program is a leadership development opportunity for TFA Charlotte 2nd year corps members, TFA alumni currently teaching in CMS, and other CMS personnel. All candidates must:
Currently be a 2nd or 3rd year certified professional
Have a summative/annual performance rating of proficient in all standards
Possess a clear Initial, Continuing or Alternative North Carolina Professional License
This paid 7-week summer internship from June 14 - July 29 provides teachers with executive mentoring, career shadowing, project management and leadership training opportunities. Previous mentors include the Superintendent, Learning Community Superintendents, Chief of Academics, and Associate Superintendent of Student Assignment and School Choice.
Former Aspiring Leaders have pursued future roles as facilitators, assistant principals, principals and leaders within the district.
