The mission of ARMS Student Services Department is to provide a comprehensive program that centers on the academic, social/emotional and career development of all students that enables them to become contributing members of our global community.
Counselors meet with students on an individual basis. Students are generally self referred or referred by a teacher or parent. Appointments are not required during in-person instruction, however students must come with a pass. If the counselor is not available, appointment request forms are available.
Counselors visit classrooms quarterly to discuss a variety of topics with students. Topics covered have included career planning, character education, high school preparation, problem solving/decision making and being responsible with social media.
Counselors offer groups sessions to students throughout the year. Topics covered are based on student need and have included study skills, self esteem, and grief and loss.
Counselors will register rising 9th graders in the spring for high school.
