About Ms. Wright

Ms. Wright, a North Carolina Teaching Fellow, received her undergraduate degree in Business Education at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in her hometown of Greensboro. While completing her undergraduate studies in Education, Ms. Wright applied and was awarded the opportunity to travel abroad to complete her student teaching experience at Mannheim American High School in Mannheim, Germany.  Ms. Wright spent several months on an army base teaching students of American soldiers and US service men.

Ms. Wright began her teaching career in the Guilford County School System where she taught middle school business and computer subjects in High Point.   Two years later she moved to Charlotte, North Carolina where she currently resides.  Her experiences working in Title I schools both in Guilford County and Mecklenburg County inspired her to work with students in a different capacity and she decided to pursue the field of School Counseling after 4 years of teaching.   Ms. Wright completed her graduate studies in School Counseling at Wake Forest University in 2006.  She now has over 20 years of experience in education and an additional degree later earned in School Administration from Queens University.
