Request process
During the Advisory block on Wednesday, January 21st, students will receive information from their grade level Counselor about the exploratory course selection process. That presentation is available below. Students will have from January 22 until February 2 to submit exploratory course requests using the Google Form linked below. Please be sure to read all directions carefully when completing the form, as only one submission is allowed. Please visit the "Exploratory" tab for course descriptions prior to making your selections.
Core Course Placement
Placement into core courses will be determined using CMS provided rubrics. The rubrics include student test scores and data that is not available until EOY. Therefore, students will be "tentatively" scheduled into the same level in which they are currently enrolled for the 2025-2026 school year. End of year data will be reviewed over the summer and course placement will be adjusted as needed. The following core courses are available to 8th grade students-
