3rd Grade Parents,
The 3rd Grade Musical Team is excited to be working with your talented young actors, singers, and dancers! This year, 3rd grade will be performing “Swamped” the musical. This show takes place in a swamp full of critters who are all going through some crazy changes. Below are some important details so please look over this letter carefully.
Website with Rehearsal Materials and Information
This year we will be using a Google site to house most of the information students and parents will need about the show. This includes Parent Information, Cast Lists, Rehearsal Videos and Scripts, and Costume Notes. The website link is: https://sites.google.com/cms.k12.nc.us/32d-grade-musical-sharon-eleme/home
Audience Members
Each performer may have up to four audience members attend the show. They must complete two steps in order to attend the show.
Complete the CMS volunteer clearance form at https://www.cmsvolunteers.com/ (or use the link on our musical website).
Register to be an audience member on either the Cast A or Cast B form on our musical website.
Rehearsals
Students will be rehearsing for the musical in Theatre and Music class until the day of the show. Students may also practice using rehearsal materials posted on our musical website at home.
Costuming
For the 3rd grade musical we are asking that parents provide their student’s costume. The costumes do not need to be extravagant. You can make it at home, or purchase a costume. Costumes will not be needed until the day of their performance. If you need advice about a costume, or if you think you will be unable to provide your student’s costume please contact Mr. Hood. If your student is a Tadpole please have them dress as a frog. Mr. Hood will provide tadpole tails.
