AVID is a college/career readiness system designed to increase the number of students who enroll and attend four-year colleges and universities.
The AVID Program here at Harding is designed to accommodate students in the academic middle. The academic middle students are profiled as often having difficulty reaching or being aware of his/her maximum potential. Students in the AVID program may fall under the following criteria:
2.0 – 3.5 Grade Point Average (GPA)
Average to High State Test Scores
High Desire and Determination
First in Family to Attend College
Economically Disadvantaged

Harding University High School Institute of Technology (H.I.T.) is a CMS countywide magnet program.
Every student will participate in challenging Career and Technical Education (CTE) course, which blend theory and application to prepare them for a globally competitive and technologically advanced society. The three areas of focus are:

Harding University High School has been an International Baccalaureate World School since 1993. We offer challenging academic courses that promote cultural awareness and incorporate real-world experiences in a rigorous learning environment that nurtures the development of students as active citizens and world leaders. The Middle Years Program (MYP) is the IB program for 9th and 10th Grade.
An IB learner is knowledgeable, a thinker, a communicator, reflective, a risk-taker, principled, open-minded, caring, an inquirer, and balanced. They approach their learning through their thinking, communicating, social, self-management, and research skills.
