Brief Profile:
I am Lini Oommen, currently doing my PhD in Cochin University of Science and Technology (NIRF 34th ranked university ) . I completed my M.Tech in Computer and Information Science from Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala. I am NET and GATE qualified candidate with around 10 years of teaching experience. I have taught in different institutions all through these years and have handled different subjects under computer science. Currently, I am working as an assistant professor in the department of CSE at the CMR Institute of Technology, Bangalore.
Technical Skills: JAVA, C, C++, Python, Database
Project Experience:
UG :
GESTURE BASED COMPUTING
Gestural interface augments the physical world around us with digital information and lets us use natural hand gestures to interact with that information. It reduces peripherals and helps to use our fingers to traverse, login to the application, zoom in and zoom out through gallery of images and finally transfer files between the systems. The co-ordinates of mouse pointer changes as the projected Red cap moves over the screen. This is done by calculating the co-ordinate axis frame by frame. The captured position of red colour is stored in a variable (current x & current y). The rest mouse actions are done by other respective colours and it is managed by Robot class which is provided by java. This class is used to generate native system input events for the purposes of test automation, self-running demos, and other applications where control of the mouse and keyboard is needed.
PG :
IDENTIFYING THE SOURCE AND SHARE OF IMAGES IN SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES
Thousands of images are being uploaded and shared by various users in instant messengers and social networking sites. Information that propagates through social networking sites can carry lot of false claims. There is no existing system to display source of image and users who propagate the image in the networking site.
The proposed system identifies the user who first uploaded an image to an instant messenger by using LSB encryption method, The details of users who shared the images are also identified.
