BUILD IT. BREAK IT. INNOVATE
A collaborative community for designing, creating, and building projects across electronics, coding, and engineering. It's your hands-on workshop and learning environment for experimentation, skill development, and bringing innovation to life.
The Art of Making. | Your playground for creation and collaboration.
The MakersClub at CMRIT is FabLab-certified innovation hub, recognized by the Fab Foundation, Boston. It's the dedicated space for students to explore cutting-edge technologies and innovative methodologies.
Our Makerspace is equipped with a comprehensive range of tools—from hand and power tools in our ideation zone to advanced fabrication machinery: laser cutters for non-metallic materials, a CNC router for precision carving on wood and metals, and 3D printers for rapidly transforming digital models into physical prototypes. This is where creativity and hands-on learning converge to bring your most ambitious projects to life.
FACILITIES PROVIDED
A laser cutter is a powerful prototyping and manufacturing tool used to precisely cut and etch flat materials. It utilizes a thin, focused laser beam to pierce and cut through materials, creating the intricate patterns and geometries specified in your design.
3D printers use Computer-Aided Design (CAD) to create physical, three-dimensional objects from materials like molten plastic or powders. This technology ranges from desktop equipment to large-scale construction models.
CNC Router
A Computer Numerical Control (CNC) router is a computer-controlled cutting machine that utilizes a mounted router (spindle) for precise cutting of various materials, including wood, composites, metals, plastics, glass, and foams.
Power Tools & Hand Tools
Our Makerspace is equipped with a comprehensive collection of hand and power tools to aid in the construction and finishing of your projects. Some of the tools available include:
Saws (Hack, pipe, hand)
Chisels
Wrenches and Files
Ratchets and sockets
Clamps and vices
The Makers Club is your launchpad for competitive success, providing hands-on training and mentorship for Hackathons, mini-projects, and robotics competitions like Robo-Race, Robo - Soccer, Sumo war etc. We offer comprehensive support for student teams, ensuring they have access to advanced hardware (FabLab equipment) and essential software skills to excel and win.
