Harshitha R BE, MTech

Harshitha R is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Science and Engineering with academic interests in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, and Assistive AI. She completed her B.E. in Information Science and Engineering from CMR Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, and her M.Tech. in Information Technology from The National Institute of Engineering, Mysuru. Her research focuses on developing intelligent and accessible AI solutions that address real-world challenges through innovative technologies.

Her passion for Artificial Intelligence extends beyond the classroom into practical applications that create meaningful social impact. During her M.Tech., she developed NeuroBridge, an intelligent offline Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) system to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, which was accepted for presentation at IEEE CISCON 2026. Alongside her research, she gained industry experience at SKF Engineering & Lubrication India Pvt. Ltd., where she worked on AI-driven automation, data analytics, and enterprise digitalisation projects. She enjoys combining academic research with practical problem-solving and is committed to creating an engaging learning environment that inspires students to innovate, explore, and build technology for real-world applications.
