BRAINSTROMING SESSION

Event Summary:

The event was basically a brainstorming session in which participants were divided into teams and then given problem statements for which they had to provide solutions. The solutions which were unique and helpful were awarded as winners.

Futuristic Techno Panel Game

Event Summary:

The event was a quiz, which had two rounds.The round in which all the participants were asked questions one by one and marks were awarded for correct answers.

The participants which answered most no of questions were promoted to second round.In the second round the host displayed the question one by one and the participant who answered first and had scored more points were awarded as winners.

MODERN DELINEATE

Event Summary:

The event was an eassy based competition on the topic "Implementation Of Solar Technology In Modern Cities".

The main aim of the event was to shed light on solar technologies and its implementation in modern cities for the better usage of natural resources.

The Judge for this event was Ms.Parvathy Thampi (Assistant Professor, CMRIT ,EEE Department).

A STATE OF THE ART KNOWLEDGE HUNT

Event Summary:

The above event was a Treasure hunt event and the hints were picked from topics of basics of electrical and electronics and aptitude as well. The students were divided into a group of three and the event was conducted.

A Total of 19 students participated in the event of which 14 were from the EEE department and 2 were from the ECE department.

● 2nd prize : Abhishek S, Jayanth S.


MODERN WORDLE

Event Summary:

The event was a crossword puzzle which was based on basics of electrical and electronics. There were two puzzles to be solved. The event was conducted offline, but the puzzle was to be solved in the google form sent to the students registered. The winners were decided based on correct answers and the time taken by them.To conclude the event was a successful one, which helped students to brush up their basics.

The Judge for this event was Ms.Parvathy Thampi (Assistant Professor, CMRIT, EEE Department).

RESEARCH BASED CONTEMPORARY TECHNICAL DEBATE

Event Summary:

To begin with, the participants were divided into four teams with equal members in each team. The topic of debate was “Online schooling is the future”. Out of four teams two were for and two were against the topic.

All the team members actively participated and tried their best to provetheir point.Each team was given 60 seconds to argue.To conclude with, the judges awarded the teams who performed their

best.

The judges for this event were Ms.Ranjitha (Assistant Professor,CMRIT, EEE Department) and Ms.Parvathy Thampi M.S. (Assistant Professor, CMRIT, EEE Department).

IDENTIFIERS FOR INNOVATION

Event Summary:

This particular event was conducted online, but students being physically present in class. The event was about identifying the electrical and electronics components.A google form was sent to participants which had images of electrical and electronics components and they had to name the components, answer and submit the given google form within the time limit provided.

To conclude with, the participants actively participated and tried to identify and answer as many components they could.Overall it was a knowledgeable event.

Technovoice

Event Summary:

Basically, the event was a technical group discussion, on the topic "INNOVATIVE ASPECTS of SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENTS AND CARBON FOOTPRINTS".

The event started with a great enthusiasm ,were every participant expressed his/her opinion on innovative aspects and ideas as to how to develop. As the discussion gained momentum, every single participant delved into not just the technological aspect, but also on the different perspective and aspects surrounding the given title. At the closure of the event, each participant threw light on their final thoughts on how they would like to help for development of the country through new ideas and ways referring to the title.

All the participants actively participated, enjoyed and gave their best. Each participant had a very unique way,as to how they identified the problem and presented their point of view.

CREAtive triathlon

Event Summary:

The event was conducted under the supervision of Ms. Parvathy Thampi M.S. (Assistant Professor, CMRIT, EEE Department). The above event was a creative puzzle event which had three rounds and was conducted online with students being physically seated in class. The questions were taken from the basics of electrical and electronics subjects.

This event in a way led students to revise and brush up their basics which they had studied earlier.

It was an informative and ingenious event overall.

Quizzard

Event Summary:

As the name suggests, the event that was conducted was a quiz, the questions were taken from the basics of electrical and electronics subjects.

It had three rounds. The first and second round was MCQ based.The third round was a question and answer round with a buzzer. Each round had its own points. The winner was decided based on highest points scored by the individual.

It was an informative and blissful event, were the participants actively answered and gained points and tried their best to win.

Fault analyzer

Event Summary:

Fault Analyzer event was an interesting event in which the participants had to identify the fault in the given circuit or terms. The questions were shared to them and they had to solve them. For quick and correct answering, points were given and the winners were declared. This event helped to improve the analytic capability of the students.

Hold the floor

Event Summary:

The event was a Just Minute Session in which in the first round each participant spoke about technical topic for about one minute duration. The students gained unparalleled knowledge from this activity. With the same objective, our club organized this competition. There were two rounds for the event. In the second round, each participant had to answer different questions related to their topics. The participants, armed with statistics and data validated and made their arguments with right gestures and body movements. The best orators were selected as winners for the points made by them and also for their confidence in presentation of the topic.

The judge for the event was Ms. Chitra M, Assistant Professor, EEE department.

PUZZLED

Event Summary:

The Second event of FEEE club was a Event called PUZZLED. The event was a technical brain 

teaser on basic concepts of Electrical and Electronics.

The event will consist of three rounds:

1. Crossword

2. Picto-Quiz

3. Scrambled

The quickest to solve them all were be awarded certificates.

The first round was a “crossword”, which consisted of 10 questions related to various 

electrical devices and SI units.

The second round was “Picto-Quiz”, where the participants are shown a picture and 

are required to identify the given picture.

The third round was “word scramble”, where all the letters of the word are jumbled 

and the participant has to make a meaning full electrical device or a phenomenon.

The winner was chosen based on who scored the highest points by answering the 

most questions right and in case of a tie in the score of two or more participants, 

then the time is taken in consideration, and the winners are decided by the earliest 

submission.

Due to the current pandemic situation, the event was conducted in the online mode 

using Google Forms. All the participants very actively participated, enjoyed and gave 

their best. Overall feedback of the participants was positive.

INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP ON PROJECT PROTOTYPING

Event Summary: 

Interactive workshop on prototyping is a an even conducted by FEEE club where Athar 

Ahmad, the FEEE club coordinator was the host and resource person. Athar has previous 

experience on project prototyping shared his experience on how he did multiple projects, 

worked as an intern where he prototyped projects. 

It was an online even hosted on Google Meet. 

The event started with good spirit and with strong participation of audience/attendees, 

Athar stared the event by first defining what prototyping is, why prototyping is necessary 

and what are the different prototyping methods that exist. 

At the end all the participants got an opportunity to interact with the resource person and 

ask him their doubts and queries. The speaker tried to answer the question in the best 

possible way. 

Event Feedback:

Even though due to the current pandemic situation, the event was conducted in the 

online mode. All the participants very actively participated, enjoyed. Overall feedback 

of the participants was positive.


aRTICLE WRITING

Event Summary: 

Article writing on the topic of Smart Grid Technology was an online event conducted by 

FEEE club on the 29th of December. 

The participants were required to write an article on their own within the given time of 2 

hours from 1 to 3pm. 

All the participants got an opportunity to learn and discover the exciting field of smart grid 

technology, not only EEE department, but also students from other departments (ECE, ISE) 

have brought in their perspectives. 

The judge for the event was Dr. Arijit Datta Assistant Professor EEE department CMRIT, 

Bangalore. The final decision of the winners was decided by Dr. Arijit Datta. 

Due to the current pandemic situation, the event was conducted in the online mode. 

All the participants very actively participated, enjoyed and gave their best. Overall 

feedback of the participants was positive.

aCHIEVEMENT MANTRA

Event Summary:

Achievement Mantra is a an even conducted by FEEE club where the senior students were invited as 

speakers, who got job offers/placed in different companies, to share their views and experiences 

and provide some insightful details about their journey. 

It was an online even hosted on Google Meet. 

The speakers were Monisha.V, Noor Ulfath, Surabhi M, Sankalp, Shashank Adiga, Abhilash. 

The event started with good spirit and with strong participation of audience/attendees, Monisha 

took the opportunity and started with her experience and process she went through, later Noor and 

Shurabi shared how they tackled the exams and interviews to get a job, and Shankalp, Shashank, 

Abhilash talked about how they prepared and what to learn for a specific job profile. 

At the end all the participants got an opportunity to interact with the speakers and ask them their 

doubts and queries. All the speakers put their best foot forward to answer the doubts in the best 

possible way and guide them.

Event Feedback: 

Even though due to the current pandemic situation, the event was conducted in the 

online mode. All the participants very actively participated, enjoyed. Overall feedback 

of the participants was positive.


GROUP DISCUSSION

Event Summary:

The Second event of FEEE club was a Group Discussion on topic: “The future of electrical 

vehicles”. The event started with a great enthusiasm where every participant expressed 

his/her opinion on how the EV’s are transforming the transportation at a very rapid pace. As 

the discussion gained momentum every single participant delved into not just the 

technological aspect, but also the socio-economic and socio-political issues associated with 

the adoption of EV’s, which encouraged participants to look at the issue in different 

perceptive. At the close of the event each participant gave their final thoughts on how they 

would like to see our country approach the EV adoption and the challenges they should 

overcome.

All the participants very actively participated, enjoyed and gave their best. Each 

participant had a very unique way how they identified the problem and presented 

their point of view. The judges for this event were Ms. Lokasree Ma’am Assistant 

Professor at CMRIT EEE Department and Ms. Parvathy Thampi M.S. Assistant 

Professor at CMRIT EEE Department.

 SUMMARY

A technical quiz on electrical machines named “INQUIZITIVE” event was held on 7

th October 

2021. A technical quiz was based on the topics covered in 2 year. Two to three 

participants came together to form a team. There was a total of three rounds and a 

final tie breaker question. In the round one the participants were faced with simple 

questions of multiple choice; the second round was a buzzer round and the final 

round was a one-to-one question round.

All the participants(teams) very actively participated, enjoyed and gave their best. 

Each participant had a very good team work when they faced a difficult question. The 

judges for this event were Ms. Reshma P Eldho Ma’am Assistant Professor at CMRIT 

EEE Department for round 1 and 2, and Dr. Hemachandra G Sir Assistant Professor at 

CMRIT EEE Department.

Robotica

  • Robotica was a competition based on the captivating topic of Artificial Intelligence(AI). It was a solo competition consisting of 3 rounds namely Group Discussion(GD), Debate and Quiz.It tested the participants based on their knowledge on AI as well as their ability to put force their views on a debatable topic.

GUEST LECTURE

Topic: Recent Trends in Hybrid Electric Vehicle Technology

Summary: 

               A guest lecture was held on 7th February, 2018 as the first departmental activity of the Electrical and Electronics Department in the present semester. The guest lecture was highly informativeand provided an insight into the requirement and functioning of Hybrid Electric Vehicles. 

        Ms Anju G has an M.Tech degree in power electornic, has published two journals and has attended one international conference. With 5years of teaching experience, she is currently pursuing her PhD and is an Assistant Professor at the east point college of engineering and techonlogy.

     The lecture began with an introduction to Hybrid Electric Vehicles and how they provide an emission  free environment. the rapid increase in population, depletion of Fossil fuels and the ever increasing prices of fuel  are the major reasons for the use of HEV. The resourse person also  elaborated on the use of fuel cells, ultra capacitors, and power diodes. In addition she also spoke about the process of regenerative braking in cars, optimization of cost and fuel amount, and the use of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN). The design of control algorithms according to convenience was also discussed. A highly descriptive PowerPoint Presentation on the same topic was also displayed. Overall, the guest lecture was highly informational and was attended by the students and faculty of the EEEE Department.



Tech Quiz

NAME OF EVENT: QUIZ NAMED " ELECTRIFYING OUR MINDS "

DESCRIPTION:

 A quiz was held on 20th feb 2018 as the second departmental activity of the electrical and electronics department. It was held on day 3 as the departmental activity. It consisted of 3 rounds, wherein the students participated in teams of 2 or 3. The students were asked questions in each round and each team was given one minute to answer. A total of 8 teams participated in the quiz. Two teams were eliminated in each round. 10 points were awarded for each correct answer and 5 marks were given for correct answers of passed questions.

Each round was more challenging than the previus one. Round 1 consised of questions based on chemistry, round 2 was based on physics. Only 4 teams proceeded to the final round of the quiz. Round 3 was the most difficult and was based on basic electrical engineering.

The winners of the quiz were MERLYN MARY THOMAS, NITHA PRASAD AND GAUTAM. In second place were SAKET VAIBHAV and NIKHIL SURESH. Overall the quiz was highly interactive.


Group Discussion

Topic : "UNDEREMPLOYMENT IS MORE SERIOUS THAN UNEMPLOYMENT"

DESCRIPTION: The GD witnessed the participation of students mainly from the sixth semester, as a group discussion is crucial from the placement perspective.

The discussion began with the basic definition of Underemployment and Unemployment, and how to distinguish one from the other. It was mentioned that underemployment is a liability to a country's GDP and hence it must be eradicated. This was related to the example of women working from home in today's society, and not performing jobs that are using their skills to the full event. It was debated whether underemployment is worse than unemployment. Today the one who spoke perfectly about the matter was VISHAKHA VIJAY PATEL. She won the first prize in this GD. 



Workshop

NAME OF THE EVENT: ANDROID APP DEVELOPMENT

DESCRIPTION: The workshop was held on 28th of march i.e, the last day 4. Students from different branch turned up. Saket taught how to develop an app( just the basics ) and it will be continued to the next half day. Overall the workshop was highly informative.


EXTEMPORE

NUMBER OF ATTENDEES: 20 participants

                                       4 audience members

SUMMARY: The event was highly informative as chits were there and students had to select any of them. They had to speak about it fir 3 mins approx. Everyone was equally good. Manisha N Phadke from EEE dept won the first prize as she was superb in whatever she was saying and the 2nd prize was won by Mainak Mukherjee. He was also very confident in whatever he was saying.


INTERVIEW

INTERVIEWER: ASHISH DAHIYA, 4TH YEAR, EEE DEPT.

DESCRIPTION: 

It was a very exciting event as the participants were interviewed just like during placements.

SUMMARY: 

The participants were required to bring their resume. The mock resembled a real interview, as the judge asked a series of challenging questions, and later on helped them that how they can improve their CV and how to present themselves in one Interview. The winner of the mock interview was Vishaal from 3rd year,EEE DEPT. Overall the session was very interactive and essential from the career prospective.



QUIZ

NAME OF THE EVENT: Tech quiz

NUMBER OF ATTENDEES: 25

DESCRIPTION:  A very much fascinating and mind enriching tech quiz was held on 10/8/18 for the tech quiz lovers as the departmental activity of FEEF . The tech quiz was held for a duration of one or two hour with number of some crazy interesting rounds of question and answers.

SUMMARY:  Our today’s tech quiz was organised for all those blooming engineering aspirants who gave their complete 100 percent shot for the each question that was put forward to them. The questions that were asked were based on our basic, root level knowledge of science be it chemistry, physics, electronics and electrical. To add on bit of spiciness to the quiz, questions on programming and computer software and hardware were asked. It basically consisted of 3 rounds, wherein the students participated in teams of 2/3.The students were asked questions in each round, raising the difficulty bar with each round and each questions. A total of eight teams participated in quiz. Two teams were eliminated in each round .10 points were allotted for each correct answer and 5 for passed.

As the last round was approaching the quiz battle had turned really neck to neck and quite interesting to watch. 

Overall the quiz session was very amazing and informative. It displayed as well as gave platform to our immensely talented youth’s of CMRIT.


ARDUINO WORKSHOP

Name of the event: ARDUINO WORKSHOP

Date of event: 18/8/18

 DESCRIPTION:

Arduino is an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software .Arduino   board are able to read inputs - light on a sensor, a finger on a button, or a Twitter message - and turn it into an output - activating a motor, turning on an LED, publishing something online. You can tell your board what to do by sending a set of instructions to the microcontroller on the board. To do so you use the Arduino programming language (based on Wiring), and the Arduino Software (IDE), based on Processing.

 SUMMARY

 Our FEEE  CLUB came up with yet another event for our innovative minds of cmritians. An arduino workshop was conducted by MR ANIRBAN GHOSH. It was a very fun as well as informative event where we all got to learn the basics of ARDUINO. The students were very enthusiastic and were very keen on learning something new. It was a very interactive session where the students kept asking doubts and showed immense interest towards the workshop.

With this successful event many more ARDUINO WORKSHOPS are going to be held to boost up our knowledge.        


TECHNICAL DEBATE

Description

A  technical debate was conducted on 3 /9/ 2018 . The topic for the debate was ANDROID ISN'T AT PAR WITH IOS . The judge for the event was Ms. Chaithanya , Assistant Professor , Electrical and Electronics department, CMRIT.

Summary

The main aim of conducting a technical debate was to enable the students to become less narrow minded, to look at all sides of an argument, to provide scope and structure to their work and in practice to develop the art of public speaking and rhetoric.

This is also important during placements as it will help the students during their group discussion .

The students spoke for and against the topic for about a minute. It was a very informative session as the participants shared a lot of their knowledge , perceptive and research about which is more advantageous over the other . The second round was a one on one session .

After the end of this interesting technical debate the winners were awarded .

JAM

Name of the event: JAM(INDUCTION PROGRAM)

 DESCRIPTION

WHAT IS JAM?

Jam is basically a speaking competition, which is all about having fun and at the same time entertaining the crowd with your smart mouth. It is short for JUST A MINUTE, which was originally a show on BBC radio in the 70s.It has been modified ever since and we have conducted a version of it here in CMRIT.

SUMMARY

Induction program was held for the first year students where an awesome jamming session was conducted by FEEE which was judged by DR NITHYANANDA . Jam topics were super interesting .We had made chits which had topics related to day to day life of  students, their dreams ,politics or our country’s current affairs. All the blooming buds just nailed the Jamming session with their super intelligent smart talks as well as their witty comments. On a serious note the jamming session was like roller coaster ride, the jamming got exciting and interesting as slowly students became comfortable and confident as they started opening up and speaking up.

Overall the jamming session was pretty amazing and successful. Its pretty clear that these young lads are grooming themselves well for the upcoming competitive world.

ELECTRICAL CROSSWORD

DESCRIPTION

To boost up our mind and to make us think little bit more than we usually do our FEEE CLUB conducted yet another successful and mindblowing event of electric crossword .The event was all about the basics knowledge of electrical that we had learnt in our school days .Basically there were two rounds of carzy crossword.

SUMMARY

So today’s event was all about testing our technical electrical and electronic knowledge that we indulge in ourselves ,that we have come across in our school days and college life. The event had two rounds and the person who gets the most number of answers correct qualifies to the second round .The first round was pretty simple and around 12 people out of 20 qualified for second round  which was made pretty difficult. Everyone showed immense interest and dedication in cracking down the clues as fast as possible.

So overall the event was super amazing with everyone’s effort and interest.

JAM

Name of Event:  JAM session

Description

A “  JAM “ session was held on 14/9/2018 . Students had to speak on the given topics for a minute  without stammering , pausing and other rules set by the jam master .

Summary

JAM is the acronym for Just A Minute.  In this process, students are asked to speak on a topic of their choice or on a given topic for a minute. It is conducted for students to improve their communication skills. It helps the introvert and shy students to take initiative and speak on the topic for a minute. It helps students condense the entire essence precisely in their mind, and speak only the relevant aspects within a minute. 


Some companies conduct JAM session during their employment interview to test the communication skills of the candidates. That is the reason JAM is included in Campus Recruitment Training Programs to encourage students to improve their communication skills thus enhancing their employability skills.

In this session we conducted 5 rounds and the students had to speak for a minute abiding by the rules . At the end of the session the scores were added up and the winners were awarded. The first 2 winners were given a cash prize and certificate.

Summary

The  mock interview is an emulation of a job interview used for training purposes. The conversational exercise usually resembles a real interview as closely as possible, for the purpose of providing experience for a candidate. It can help a job applicant to understand what is expected in a real job interview, and can help an applicant improve his or her self-presentation. 

The students who had cleared the first round i.e group discussion we're called for mock interview . They had to build a resume and submit a hard copy of it . The interviews asked various questions based on resume , personal , projects as well as technical . On the basis of their communication skills , confindence and good resume the winners were selected .

Group discussion exercises are used to assess general behavior traits such as listening skills social skills and problem solving skills although depending on the job you have applied for other behavior may be assessed as well.

So our FEEE club conducted yet another event which gave the fifth sem students an opportunity to test their skills in GD session .

SUMMARY

So basically the event was attended by 25 students .They were divided into 2 groups .The Topics of discussion were:

2. CAN INDIA BE A CASHLESS COUNTRY?

Everyone spoke really well ,some were outspoken while some  couldn’t express much of their views but overall it was an interactive and amazing session .In first round 8 people were selected for second round . The judges did an amazing job by letting everyone know where they could improve in future and where they went wrong.

Overall the event was surely very helpful for the students.

FEEE student club conducted an event to improve the knowledge of students in electrical

and electronic circuits The event was about the basic knowledge in electrical and electronic

circuits. The judges of the event were Ms. Anju Das and Ms. Geethanjali.

SUMMARY

The event was about testing the technical knowledge that the students have in connecting

circuits. The students were asked to design the clipping and clamping circuits for the given

output waveform. There were three teams to participate in the event. They connected the

circuits and displayed the output. The task was completed as a team work.

So overall the event was super amazing with student effort and interest.

Web Development

 SUMMARY

 FEEE Club conducted the second half session of web development. The web development workshop was conducted by Mr Saket Vaibhav, 5th semester EEE student .It was a very informative event where we could learn more about web development. The students were very enthusiastic and were very keen on learning something new. It was a very interactive session where the students exhibited immense interest towards the workshop.

With this successful event many more workshops are going to be held in future to boost up our knowledge.   


Electric and Electronic Circuits

Summary

The students were divided into teams of 4 each . Each team was given a question to design a circuit . The first round was to pen down the circuit design on a sheet . Secondly the students had to excute their design onto a spring board and get tbe required output . They were 2 teams amongst the 5 that showed the output first and grabbed the prizes . 

This event brought out the pratical knowledge of the students as the questions were given on spot , thus increases the thinking capacity of the students . Not only did it teach them new circuit designs but was exciting and fun at the same time .

Summary

So what is group discussion ? 

Group discussion refers to a communicative situation that allows its participants to share their views and opinions with other participants. It is a systematic exchange of information, views and opinions about a topic, problem, issue or situation among the members of a group who share some common objectives.

The topic Cyber crime is on the rise with an increase of 3 billion records breached over six years . Given this to speak about , inculcates a sense of responsibility , moral and ethics to the budding engineers . Not only they gain information out of such discussions but also improves their communication skills and also learn to respect others views on opinion . 

Group discussion are very important as they are a part of the placement process as well.

PCB fabrication workshop – Software Training

A printed circuit board (PCB) mechanically supports and electrically connects electronic components or electrical components using conductive tracks, pads and other features etched from one or more sheet layers of copper laminated onto and/or between sheet layers of a non-conductive substrate.   

     SUMMARY                                                        

With the commencement of the new session our FEEE CLUB came up with really amazing opportunity for all the blooming students to standout in the crowd. So this time FEEE brought us two days pcb designing workshop which would be conducted by the expertise. Students would be given an opportunity to design their very pcb and would be taught about the various steps involved. Bright performers will also be getting the certificates which would in turn be an addon to the resume. Mr Kotresh addressed all the students regarding the pcb fabrication workshop and shared immense knowledge and motivated the students to takeup the workshop.

FEEE student club conducted a workshop on PCB design & fabrication hardware training. The Resource persons were Mr Kotresh M, Director, Indian Tech keys and Ms. Shrenika, Senior Design Engineer, Indian Tech keys .                                                      

SUMMARY

PCB refers to Printed Circuit Board. The process of PCB designing consists of various processes like designing, etching and printing. The combination of all these processes result in designing of circuits on a signal boards layout. FEEE Students Club, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering conducted a workshop on PCB design and fabrication, hardware training in association with Indian Tech keys on 28th of February. There had been sessions to make students familiar with the design on software and Fabrication of PCB being a real time electronic component and getting it done with hands on was of a great practical help.

What is extempore? So it’s basically a platform where you speak about a topic without any preparation. It’s also known as spontaneous speaking .

So our FEEE club conducted yet another event which gave the 4th and 5th sem students an opportunity to showcase their speaking skills.

SUMMARY

So basically the event was attended by 12 students.They were given 2-5mins to talk about the topic that they got among the several topics in the chits. 

Everyone spoke really well, some were outspoken while some couldn’t express much of their views .Since the topics were pretty general and technical everyone gave a really tough competition. Overall the event was surely very helpful for the students and quite successful.

A technical quiz was held on 13th of March. The judge for the event was Mr Sumit Mohanty,assistant professor ,EEE dept.

Summary

Quiz is a form of game or min sport, in which players attempt to answer questions rapidly. It is also a game to test knowledge about various subjects or topics. As the name suggest technical quiz , the topics for this quiz was MCQ’S based on various electrical topic such as power systems , high voltage , Analog electronics and communication etc.

The students were divided into teams of 2 members each. As the questions were put forward the team were assigned points for every right answer. The first round consisted of 20 questions after which 6 teams were eliminated. The second round consisted of 10 questions after which we got the winners of this event.

INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP ON PROJECT PROTOTYPING

Event Summary: 

Interactive workshop on prototyping is a an even conducted by FEEE club where Athar 

Ahmad, the FEEE club coordinator was the host and resource person. Athar has previous 

experience on project prototyping shared his experience on how he did multiple projects, 

worked as an intern where he prototyped projects. 

It was an online even hosted on Google Meet. 

The event started with good spirit and with strong participation of audience/attendees, 

Athar stared the event by first defining what prototyping is, why prototyping is necessary 

and what are the different prototyping methods that exist. 

At the end all the participants got an opportunity to interact with the resource person and 

ask him their doubts and queries. The speaker tried to answer the question in the best 

possible way. 

Event Feedback:

Even though due to the current pandemic situation, the event was conducted in the 

online mode. All the participants very actively participated, enjoyed. Overall feedback 

of the participants was positive.


aRTICLE WRITING

Event Summary: 

Article writing on the topic of Smart Grid Technology was an online event conducted by 

FEEE club on the 29th of December. 

The participants were required to write an article on their own within the given time of 2 

hours from 1 to 3pm. 

All the participants got an opportunity to learn and discover the exciting field of smart grid 

technology, not only EEE department, but also students from other departments (ECE, ISE) 

have brought in their perspectives. 

The judge for the event was Dr. Arijit Datta Assistant Professor EEE department CMRIT, 

Bangalore. The final decision of the winners was decided by Dr. Arijit Datta. 

Due to the current pandemic situation, the event was conducted in the online mode. 

All the participants very actively participated, enjoyed and gave their best. Overall 

feedback of the participants was positive.

aCHIEVEMENT MANTRA

Event Summary:

Achievement Mantra is a an even conducted by FEEE club where the senior students were invited as 

speakers, who got job offers/placed in different companies, to share their views and experiences 

and provide some insightful details about their journey. 

It was an online even hosted on Google Meet. 

The speakers were Monisha.V, Noor Ulfath, Surabhi M, Sankalp, Shashank Adiga, Abhilash. 

The event started with good spirit and with strong participation of audience/attendees, Monisha 

took the opportunity and started with her experience and process she went through, later Noor and 

Shurabi shared how they tackled the exams and interviews to get a job, and Shankalp, Shashank, 

Abhilash talked about how they prepared and what to learn for a specific job profile. 

At the end all the participants got an opportunity to interact with the speakers and ask them their 

doubts and queries. All the speakers put their best foot forward to answer the doubts in the best 

possible way and guide them.

GROUP DISCUSSION

Event Summary:

The Second event of FEEE club was a Group Discussion on topic: “The future of electrical 

vehicles”. The event started with a great enthusiasm where every participant expressed 

his/her opinion on how the EV’s are transforming the transportation at a very rapid pace. As 

the discussion gained momentum every single participant delved into not just the 

technological aspect, but also the socio-economic and socio-political issues associated with 

the adoption of EV’s, which encouraged participants to look at the issue in different 

perceptive. At the close of the event each participant gave their final thoughts on how they 

would like to see our country approach the EV adoption and the challenges they should 

overcome.

All the participants very actively participated, enjoyed and gave their best. Each 

participant had a very unique way how they identified the problem and presented

 SUMMARY

A technical quiz on electrical machines named “INQUIZITIVE” event was held on 7

th October 

2021. A technical quiz was based on the topics covered in 2 year. Two to three 

participants came together to form a team. There was a total of three rounds and a 

final tie breaker question. In the round one the participants were faced with simple 

questions of multiple choice; the second round was a buzzer round and the final 

round was a one-to-one question round.

All the participants(teams) very actively participated, enjoyed and gave their best. 

Each participant had a very good team work when they faced a difficult question. The

               A guest lecture was held on 7th February, 2018 as the first departmental activity of the Electrical and Electronics Department in the present semester. The guest lecture was highly informativeand provided an insight into the requirement and functioning of Hybrid Electric Vehicles. 

        Ms Anju G has an M.Tech degree in power electornic, has published two journals and has attended one international conference. With 5years of teaching experience, she is currently pursuing her PhD and is an Assistant Professor at the east point college of engineering and techonlogy.

     The lecture began with an introduction to Hybrid Electric Vehicles and how they provide an emission  free environment. the rapid increase in population, depletion of Fossil fuels and the ever increasing prices of fuel  are the major reasons for the use of HEV. The resourse person also  elaborated on the use of fuel cells, ultra capacitors, and power diodes. In addition she also spoke about the process of regenerative braking in cars, optimization of cost and fuel amount, and the use of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN). The design of control algorithms according to convenience was also discussed. A highly descriptive PowerPoint Presentation on the same topic was also displayed. Overall, the guest lecture was highly informational and was attended by the students and faculty of the EEEE Department.

DESCRIPTION:

 A quiz was held on 20th feb 2018 as the second departmental activity of the electrical and electronics department. It was held on day 3 as the departmental activity. It consisted of 3 rounds, wherein the students participated in teams of 2 or 3. The students were asked questions in each round and each team was given one minute to answer. A total of 8 teams participated in the quiz. Two teams were eliminated in each round. 10 points were awarded for each correct answer and 5 marks were given for correct answers of passed questions.

Each round was more challenging than the previus one. Round 1 consised of questions based on chemistry, round 2 was based on physics. Only 4 teams proceeded to the final round of the quiz. Round 3 was the most difficult and was based on basic electrical engineering.

The winners of the quiz were MERLYN MARY THOMAS, NITHA PRASAD AND GAUTAM. In second place were SAKET VAIBHAV and NIKHIL SURESH. Overall the quiz was highly interactive.

DESCRIPTION: The GD witnessed the participation of students mainly from the sixth semester, as a group discussion is crucial from the placement perspective.

The discussion began with the basic definition of Underemployment and Unemployment, and how to distinguish one from the other. It was mentioned that underemployment is a liability to a country's GDP and hence it must be eradicated. This was related to the example of women working from home in today's society, and not performing jobs that are using their skills to the full event. It was debated whether underemployment is worse than unemployment. Today the one who spoke perfectly about the matter was VISHAKHA VIJAY PATEL. She won the first prize in this GD.

Manisha N Phadke from EEE dept won the first prize as she was superb in whatever she was saying and the 2nd prize was won by Mainak Mukherjee. He was also very confident in whatever he was saying.

The mock resembled a real interview, as the judge asked a series of challenging questions, and later on helped them that how they can improve their CV and how to present themselves in one Interview. The winner of the mock interview was Vishaal from 3rd year,EEE DEPT. Overall the session was very interactive and essential from the career prospective.



QUIZ

DESCRIPTION:  A very much fascinating and mind enriching tech quiz was held on 10/8/18 for the tech quiz lovers as the departmental activity of FEEF . The tech quiz was held for a duration of one or two hour with number of some crazy interesting rounds of question and answers.

SUMMARY:  Our today’s tech quiz was organised for all those blooming engineering aspirants who gave their complete 100 percent shot for the each question that was put forward to them. The questions that were asked were based on our basic, root level knowledge of science be it chemistry, physics, electronics and electrical. To add on bit of spiciness to the quiz, questions on programming and computer software and hardware were asked. It basically consisted of 3 rounds, wherein the students participated in teams of 2/3.The students were asked questions in each round, raising the difficulty bar with each round and each questions. A total of eight teams participated in quiz. Two teams were eliminated in each round .10 points were allotted for each correct answer and 5 for passed.

As the last round was approaching the quiz battle had turned really neck to neck and quite interesting to watch. 

Overall the quiz session was very amazing and informative. It displayed as well as gave platform to our immensely talented youth’s of CMRIT.


ARDUINO WORKSHOP

Arduino is an open-source electronics platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software .Arduino   board are able to read inputs - light on a sensor, a finger on a button, or a Twitter message - and turn it into an output - activating a motor, turning on an LED, publishing something online. You can tell your board what to do by sending a set of instructions to the microcontroller on the board. To do so you use the Arduino programming language (based on Wiring), and the Arduino Software (IDE), based on Processing.

 SUMMARY

 Our FEEE  CLUB came up with yet another event for our innovative minds of cmritians. An arduino workshop was conducted by MR ANIRBAN GHOSH. It was a very fun as well as informative event where we all got to learn the basics of ARDUINO. The students were very enthusiastic and were very keen on learning something new. It was a very interactive session where the students kept asking doubts and showed immense interest towards the workshop.

With this successful event many more ARDUINO WORKSHOPS are going to be held to boost up our knowledge.

Description

A  technical debate was conducted on 3 /9/ 2018 . The topic for the debate was ANDROID ISN'T AT PAR WITH IOS . The judge for the event was Ms. Chaithanya , Assistant Professor , Electrical and Electronics department, CMRIT.

Summary

The main aim of conducting a technical debate was to enable the students to become less narrow minded, to look at all sides of an argument, to provide scope and structure to their work and in practice to develop the art of public speaking and rhetoric.

This is also important during placements as it will help the students during their group discussion .

The students spoke for and against the topic for about a minute. It was a very informative session as the participants shared a lot of their knowledge , perceptive and research about which is more advantageous over the other . The second round was a one on one session .

WHAT IS JAM?

Jam is basically a speaking competition, which is all about having fun and at the same time entertaining the crowd with your smart mouth. It is short for JUST A MINUTE, which was originally a show on BBC radio in the 70s.It has been modified ever since and we have conducted a version of it here in CMRIT.

SUMMARY

Induction program was held for the first year students where an awesome jamming session was conducted by FEEE which was judged by DR NITHYANANDA . Jam topics were super interesting .We had made chits which had topics related to day to day life of  students, their dreams ,politics or our country’s current affairs. All the blooming buds just nailed the Jamming session with their super intelligent smart talks as well as their witty comments. On a serious note the jamming session was like roller coaster ride, the jamming got exciting and interesting as slowly students became comfortable and confident as they started opening up and speaking up.

Overall the jamming session was pretty amazing and successful. Its pretty clear that these young lads are grooming themselves well for the upcoming competitive world.

To boost up our mind and to make us think little bit more than we usually do our FEEE CLUB conducted yet another successful and mindblowing event of electric crossword .The event was all about the basics knowledge of electrical that we had learnt in our school days .Basically there were two rounds of carzy crossword.

SUMMARY

So today’s event was all about testing our technical electrical and electronic knowledge that we indulge in ourselves ,that we have come across in our school days and college life. The event had two rounds and the person who gets the most number of answers correct qualifies to the second round .The first round was pretty simple and around 12 people out of 20 qualified for second round  which was made pretty difficult. Everyone showed immense interest and dedication in cracking down the clues as fast as possible.

So overall the event was super amazing with everyone’s effort and interest.

Description

A “  JAM “ session was held on 14/9/2018 . Students had to speak on the given topics for a minute  without stammering , pausing and other rules set by the jam master .

Summary

JAM is the acronym for Just A Minute.  In this process, students are asked to speak on a topic of their choice or on a given topic for a minute. It is conducted for students to improve their communication skills. It helps the introvert and shy students to take initiative and speak on the topic for a minute. It helps students condense the entire essence precisely in their mind, and speak only the relevant aspects within a minute. 


Some companies conduct JAM session during their employment interview to test the communication skills of the candidates. That is the reason JAM is included in Campus Recruitment Training Programs to encourage students to improve their communication skills thus enhancing their employability skills.

In this session we conducted 5 rounds and the students had to speak for a minute abiding by the rules . At the end of the session the scores were added up and the winners were awarded. The first 2 winners were given a cash prize and certificate.

Summary

The  mock interview is an emulation of a job interview used for training purposes. The conversational exercise usually resembles a real interview as closely as possible, for the purpose of providing experience for a candidate. It can help a job applicant to understand what is expected in a real job interview, and can help an applicant improve his or her self-presentation. 

The students who had cleared the first round i.e group discussion we're called for mock interview . They had to build a resume and submit a hard copy of it . The interviews asked various questions based on resume , personal , projects as well as technical . On the basis of their communication skills , confindence and good resume the winners were selected .

Group discussion exercises are used to assess general behavior traits such as listening skills social skills and problem solving skills although depending on the job you have applied for other behavior may be assessed as well.

So our FEEE club conducted yet another event which gave the fifth sem students an opportunity to test their skills in GD session .

SUMMARY

So basically the event was attended by 25 students .They were divided into 2 groups .The Topics of discussion were:

2. CAN INDIA BE A CASHLESS COUNTRY?

Everyone spoke really well ,some were outspoken while some  couldn’t express much of their views but overall it was an interactive and amazing session .In first round 8 people were selected for second round . The judges did an amazing job by letting everyone know where they could improve in future and where they went wrong.

Overall the event was surely very helpful for the students.

FEEE student club conducted an event to improve the knowledge of students in electrical

and electronic circuits The event was about the basic knowledge in electrical and electronic

circuits. The judges of the event were Ms. Anju Das and Ms. Geethanjali.

SUMMARY

The event was about testing the technical knowledge that the students have in connecting

circuits. The students were asked to design the clipping and clamping circuits for the given

output waveform. There were three teams to participate in the event. They connected the

circuits and displayed the output. The task was completed as a team work.

So overall the event was super amazing with student effort and interest.

Web Development

Web development is the work involved in developing a web site for the internet or an intranet (a private network). Web development can range from developing a simple single static page of plain text to complex web-based internet applications (web apps) electronic businesses, and social etwork services. Among web professionals, "web development" usually refers to the main non-design aspects of building web sites: writing markup and coding.

 SUMMARY

 FEEE Club conducted the second half session of web development. The web development workshop was conducted by Mr Saket Vaibhav, 5th semester EEE student .It was a very informative event where we could learn more about web development. The students were very enthusiastic and were very keen on learning something new. It was a very interactive session where the students exhibited immense interest towards the workshop.

With this successful event many more workshops are going to be held in future to boost up our knowledge.   


Electric and Electronic Circuits

Summary

The students were divided into teams of 4 each . Each team was given a question to design a circuit . The first round was to pen down the circuit design on a sheet . Secondly the students had to excute their design onto a spring board and get tbe required output . They were 2 teams amongst the 5 that showed the output first and grabbed the prizes . 

This event brought out the pratical knowledge of the students as the questions were given on spot , thus increases the thinking capacity of the students . Not only did it teach them new circuit designs but was exciting and fun at the same time .

Summary

So what is group discussion ? 

Group discussion refers to a communicative situation that allows its participants to share their views and opinions with other participants. It is a systematic exchange of information, views and opinions about a topic, problem, issue or situation among the members of a group who share some common objectives.

The topic Cyber crime is on the rise with an increase of 3 billion records breached over six years . Given this to speak about , inculcates a sense of responsibility , moral and ethics to the budding engineers . Not only they gain information out of such discussions but also improves their communication skills and also learn to respect others views on opinion . 

Group discussion are very important as they are a part of the placement process as well.

PCB fabrication workshop – Software Training

A printed circuit board (PCB) mechanically supports and electrically connects electronic components or electrical components using conductive tracks, pads and other features etched from one or more sheet layers of copper laminated onto and/or between sheet layers of a non-conductive substrate.   

     SUMMARY                                                        

With the commencement of the new session our FEEE CLUB came up with really amazing opportunity for all the blooming students to standout in the crowd. So this time FEEE brought us two days pcb designing workshop which would be conducted by the expertise. Students would be given an opportunity to design their very pcb and would be taught about the various steps involved. Bright performers will also be getting the certificates which would in turn be an addon to the resume. Mr Kotresh addressed all the students regarding the pcb fabrication workshop and shared immense knowledge and motivated the students to takeup the workshop.

FEEE student club conducted a workshop on PCB design & fabrication hardware training. The Resource persons were Mr Kotresh M, Director, Indian Tech keys and Ms. Shrenika, Senior Design Engineer, Indian Tech keys .                                                      

SUMMARY

PCB refers to Printed Circuit Board. The process of PCB designing consists of various processes like designing, etching and printing. The combination of all these processes result in designing of circuits on a signal boards layout. FEEE Students Club, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering conducted a workshop on PCB design and fabrication, hardware training in association with Indian Tech keys on 28th of February. There had been sessions to make students familiar with the design on software and Fabrication of PCB being a real time electronic component and getting it done with hands on was of a great practical help.

DESCRIPTION

What is extempore? So it’s basically a platform where you speak about a topic without any preparation. It’s also known as spontaneous speaking .

So our FEEE club conducted yet another event which gave the 4th and 5th sem students an opportunity to showcase their speaking skills.

SUMMARY

So basically the event was attended by 12 students.They were given 2-5mins to talk about the topic that they got among the several topics in the chits. 

Everyone spoke really well, some were outspoken while some couldn’t express much of their views .Since the topics were pretty general and technical everyone gave a really tough competition. Overall the event was surely very helpful for the students and quite successful.

A technical quiz was held on 13th of March. The judge for the event was Mr Sumit Mohanty,assistant professor ,EEE dept.

Summary

Quiz is a form of game or min sport, in which players attempt to answer questions rapidly. It is also a game to test knowledge about various subjects or topics. As the name suggest technical quiz , the topics for this quiz was MCQ’S based on various electrical topic such as power systems , high voltage , Analog electronics and communication etc.

The students were divided into teams of 2 members each. As the questions were put forward the team were assigned points for every right answer. The first round consisted of 20 questions after which 6 teams were eliminated. The second round consisted of 10 questions after which we got the winners of this event.

Most people associate the word “addiction” with problems like gambling, alcoholism or drug abuse. But look at a people bent intently over the electric-blue glow of a smartphone, and it’s hard not to wonder whether we need to expand our definition of “addiction”.

This debate therefore gave a platform for the students to understand and debate for or against this topic . The participants were divided into 2 groups , one group for the topic and another against the topic. Each participants we're given 2 mins to share their views on this topic . Later it was open for both the groups to debate on the topic .

Such debates are conducted so has to have a healthy discussion on such sensitive topics . It also builds up a sense of understanding and respect for others opinion.

 "Electrical relay" educational and a fun event conducted by FEEE club.

This event was conducted in three stages and the team which qualifies each round and moves to the next round and finishes the competition in least time wins the event.

SUMMARY

So basically the event was attended by 10 students.They were in team and were given set of questions riddles and puzzle to solve and all these questions were purely electrical. As soon as the team finishes the first round questions they had to run to the next room for solving the next set of questions. So at the end the team which made it at a least amount of time  were declared the winner.Overall it was a very entertaining and a fun learning event.

Summary

Debate is one of the academic activities that give students a platform to stand up for they believe in. It is said to gain unparallel knowledge from this activity. With the same objective, our club organized this competition. The topic for the debate was "Should we allow automated cars to drive on road?" The participants were divided into two groups. The participants of Group 1 spoke on the need of automated cars and on the other hand group 2  talked why  automated cars shouldn't be allowed. The participants, armed with statistics and data validated and made their arguments with right gestures and body movements. Both the groups showcased their speaking skills and talents every confidently. After turns of arguments and justification, both the teams rendered their final view on the topic and the debate was concluded. The best orators from both the groups were selected as winners for the points made by them and also for their confidence in debating the topic.

Summary

Treasure!! Who doesn’t like to find hidden items by solving puzzles and clues. One such adventurous event was organised by our club. It was a technical treasure hunt where the clues  related to electrical components were given and the participants had to decode it, find corresponding components and  the last clue was  a simple circuit diagram. The team which collects all the components and constructs the circuit perfectly were declared winners.  

The students had gathered with great interest and the participants were organised into group of two. Clues  were set up in pre-planned places and every clue lead them to the next step. Various parts of the department were used to place clues and the participants had a lot of enthusiasm as they ran from pillar to post to reach to their next clue. There was a tremendous team work and co-ordination between the team members. In the end, it was a happy moment to watch the winners with a huge smiles on their faces.

Summary

A crossword is a word puzzle game which helps to boost our memory and improve our mental health. With this perspective, Technical  Crossword was conducted by our club.

 The participants had gathered with great interest and they were in groups of two. The event consisted of 3 rounds, round one had basic questions and the time limit was 10min. Round two and three were of  5min each .In every round, groups with least correct answers were eliminated and we had 5 teams in the final round and the team with the highest correct answers were declared winners.

Summary

This is a kind of game which entertains with its fun and also helps us to learn about new words or things. One such fun learning event was organised by our club under the banner of ‘ELECTRICAL ATLAS’

Participants had gathered with great interest and enthusiasm. The event was kicked-off with an electrical term and the contestants had to come up with a word related to electrical subject and has meaningful application in its field. 

The event was  comprised of three general rounds, a semi-final round and a finale. In every round, three members were selected  and a total of nine contestants participated in the semi final. The final round was a rapid fire round in which winner and runner-up’s were decided.

Summary

GD plays a very important role in a student’s life during placements and in interview processes. It's one of the best tool to select the prospective candidates in a comparative perspective. Group discussion helps to understand a subject more deeply also it helps to improve one’s ability to think critically.

In order to provide an idea about group discussions among the students, our club had arranged a GD on the topic, IMPACT OF TECHNOLOGY ON JOBS. The participants were made to gather in a discussion room where they were divided into two groups. Once the discussion began, the participants talked about their views on the topic, to which others gave their point of views and made critical comments on the topic. The discussion lead to exchange of valuable ideas and enhancement of communication skills and thinking capacities of the students.

The event was judged by Ms. Chitra M , Assistant Professor, EEE department and the best two orators from the group were declared as winners of the event.

                We have all noticed that we are able to identify a business or club by just looking at its logo, even if their name isn’t a part of the logo. Or perhaps notice the nature of the business by looking at its logo. For these factors, logo acts as a central element of identification system of an organisation.

                 Having this importance, our club organised a logo designing competition, in which competitors had to come up with a unique logo for the FEEE club. The aim of the event was not only to come up with a logo for the club, it was to bring out the creativeness among the participants. The event was judged by  the Head of the Department, Dr. Chitra K. and Ms. Keka Mukopadhyaya, Assistant Professor, EEE Department . The participant who  designed  the most creative logo, was declared the winner.

SUMMARY

The event was about testing the  technical knowledge that the students have in connecting circuits. The students were asked to design various electronic circuits . They connected the circuits and displayed the output. The task was completed as a team work. So overall the event was super amazing with student effort and interest.

An  extempore  is  a  brain  boggling  situation  to  put  your  thoughts together and present it in a crisp manner. It is a stage performance that is carried out  without any preparation or forethought. It puts to test one’s  ability to think on the spot and also their spontaneity.

One such event was organised by our club, it was a technical extempore where topics on different technical aspects were given and the participants had to pick up chits which had their topic of speech. Each participant was given 5 minutes precisely to prepare a speech on the allotted topic. The extempore competition was conducted in an excellent manner and the students spoke emphatically on their topics.

The judge of the event was Ms. Geethanjali.P,Assistant Prof. EEE dept. and the judgement was based on the content, confidence ,oratory skills and way of representation.

A technical talk is one which provides information or presents an idea about the given technical topic . It also acts as an effective method of knowing different views on the same topic.

 One such tech talk on ’Augmented and Virtual reality’ was organised by the club to the students of 5Th semester.

As we all know Augmented reality (AR) adds digital elements to a live view often by using the camera on a smartphone. Virtual reality (VR) implies a complete immersion experience that shuts out the physical world.The students had participated with great interest and made solid points about the topic also they were very energetic and brilliantly delivered the content related to the topic.

Summary

The  mock interview is an emulation of a job interview used for training purposes. The conversational exercise usually resembles a real interview as closely as possible, for the purpose of providing experience for a candidate. It can help a job applicant to understand what is expected in a real job interview, and can help an applicant improve his or her self-presentation. 

The best performers in  the Tech Talk event were  called for mock interview . They had to prepare a resume and submit a hard copy of it . The interviewers asked various questions based on resume , personal , projects as well as technical . On the basis of their communication skills confidence and good resume the winners were selected .

Summary

PSpice is a circuit analysis tool that allows the user to simulate a circuit and extract key voltages and currents. It has analog and digital libraries of standard components such as NAND, NOR, flip-flops, and other digital gates which makes it a useful tool for a wide range of analog and digital applications.

As an engineering student, it’s an important aspect for us to know the simulation of certain circuits and know their behaviours. With this motive, our club conducted a workshop on introduction to PSpice simulation to all 3rd semester students. It was an interesting event in which all the students enjoyed learning new things and circuit behaviours.

The resource persons were Ms Anju Das and Ms Keka M, Assistant Professors, Department of EEE. Mr. Shashank , 3rd semester student , EEE department also guided the students. 

 

With the successful completion of this event, the FEEE club concludes its events of this semester.

Summary

Tech quiz was held on 26th Feb 2020 as our first FEEE Club event of the Electrical and Electronics Department. The quiz consisted of 3 rounds, wherein the students participated in teams of 2. The students were asked questions in each round and each team was given one minute to answer. A total of 16 teams participated in the quiz and 4 teams were eliminated in each round. 10 points were awarded for each correct answer and 5 marks were given for correct answers of passed questions.

Each round was more challenging than the previous one. Round 1 consisted of general technical questions, the difficulty of the game was increased in each round. 

The students from first to third year participated with great interest and gave a feedback of great happiness in the end. 

The winners of the quiz were VIGNESH AND VIJAY, and second place was shared by Gayatri, Joyal and Karthik. Overall the quiz was highly interactive. The judge of the event was Mrs. Sanitha Michael, Associate Professor, EEE Department.

Summary

Electrical puzzle event was held on 27th Feb 2019 as our second departmental activity of the Electrical and Electronics department. The event consisted of 3 rounds, wherein the students participated in teams of 2. The students had to answer crossword questions in each round and each team was given 15 minutes to answer. A total of 18 teams participated in the event  and  teams were eliminated in each round. 1 point was awarded for each correct answer .

To make this quarantine little fun and to boost up our mind and to make us think little bit more than we usually do our FEEE CLUB conducted yet another successful and mind blowing event of electric riddle. The event was all about the basics knowledge of Electrical & Electronics circuits. The event was conducted online. The event had a single round, where students were asked to solve Electrical riddle and find answer to it within a framed time limit. The questions were quite interesting and challenging. 

Everyone showed immense interest and dedication in cracking down the clues as fast as possible. So overall the event was super amazing with everyone’s effort and interest. The judge of the event was Ms. Parvathy Thampi M.S., Assistant Professor, EEE Department, CMRIT.

This is just a glimpse of where technology stands today. A whole lot of exciting opportunities are waiting beyond the horizon.

FEEE CLUB conducted a Tech Talk, where our participants examine trends in technology, how they affect the way we live and do business, and the problems they solve. They also discussed the evil side of technology, the darker implications of new tech and what we need to look out for. Students with great energy and enthusiasm participated in the event , participants had sent their recorded talk about the chosen topic

Summary

In this era, everyone admires technology and are eager to show their knowledge about it. One such stage was setup by our FEEE Student Club. It was a Quality Tech Quiz event conducted on an online platform. The students from all the departments had participated with great enthusiasm and interest. 20 questions based on  Electrical subjects and trending technical topics were asked in the quiz.

The time limit of the event was 60 minutes. And the participant with the highest score was declared the winner . We also received a wonderful feedback from the participants. 

With this, FEEE club successfully completed it's first event for the year 2020-21

Tech Extempore event was held on 19th August 2020. It is an event in which the participants were asked to speak on a certain Technology related topics. It is an impromptu speech in which the candidate is required to make on a topic given there and then. These Extempore evaluate the candidates ability to think off the feet and also the prioritization and sequencing to display logical thinking.

A total of eight candidates were there for the Extempore battle on the topic “EMERGING TECHNOLOGY”. Each of them were allotted 4 min. All of them were charged up and their enthusiasm was reaching heights. After each candidate the difficulty level was increased. The student   participation and support made the event memorable and the feedback was amazing.

The winner of Tech Extempore was AYUSH and the second place was shared by ISHA and THARA. Overall the event was interactive and knowledgeable.

An event “WEBINAR” was held on 22nd September 2020. A webinar is a presentation,lecture, seminar that is transmitted over the web using video conferencing software. A key feature of a webinar is its interactive elements and the ability of a presenter to give , receive and discuss information in real time. 

All of the attendees squeezed the valuable takeaway on the topic “RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES”. It was an amazing chance for students to learn more about Renewable Energy Resources. There were many added engagement from the listeners which enhanced the value of the event. Students keen participation made the event successful and the feedback was amazing.

The Speakers of the Webinar were Aditya Vishwakarma and Monisha V from fifth semester. Their insights on topic was worthy which defined their knowledge and clarity on the topic. 

Overall the event was interactive and knowledgable.

An event “TECH VIDEO PRESENTATION” was held on 7th October 2020. Technical presentation serves engineering , scientific and hitech purposes describing advances in technologies , problem resolution , project design and project status.

Technical video presentation was on the topic “Smart Grid Technologies”. This system of smart grid technology can find solution to the problem very quickly in an existed system that can reduce the workforce and targets sustainable ,  reliable , safe and quality electricity to the consumers. Thus the attendees were excited for gaining information of such amazing technology.

A quiz was also arranged for the attendees after the presentation so as to know the impact of the presentation attended by them.

The winner of Smart Grid quiz was M Saikiran of EEE Department and the runner up was Taiba Ali of ECE Department.

Overall the event was interactive and its achievement got even better after the feedback received from the participants.

 “ELECTRIC MACHINES” was the topic on which the quiz was based. Machines using electromagnetic force such as electric motor, electric generator to perform a task or job are some of basic electric machines. The quiz consisted of few brainstorming questions which has to completed within a span of half an hour.

    SUMMARY

An event “ARTICLE WRITING” was held on 30th September 2020. An Article is a piece of writing that is published for guiding a large audience on a particular topic or subject. The main objective is to make some changes to the world by presenting facts, stats ,or views.

All the participants were required to write their articles on the topic “Hybrid Electric  Vehicles”. It was an amazing opportunity for the participants to let the world know about their aspect and knowledge on hybrid electric vehicles. All of participants took sincere approach towards their content required to compete in this event.

The opportunity of judging the best article was given to Professor Reshma P Eldho . She is a faculty of our EEE department and is specially acknowleged for her interest in Power Systems.

The winner of this event was Monisha V from EEE department and the runner up was Neeraj Magadum from ISE department.

Overall the event was interesting and the feedback received by attendees made it successful too.

With this event, the FEEE club successfully concluded all the events scheduled for  the semester.

quiz lovers as the departmental activity of FEEE . The tech quiz was held for a duration of

one hour with number of some crazy interesting question.

It was an event for all those blooming engineering aspirants who gave their complete 100

percent shot for the each question that was put forward to them. The questions that were

asked were based on our basic, root level knowledge of electrical engineering .
