CMR University School of Legal Studies provides real life exposure into Child Rights through the newly established Child Rights Centre. This is not only useful for the students in their academics, but also enables them to better understand the laws that govern rights for children. This ensures that the students will be adept in knowledge of laws, making them strong to advocate for those children whose rights are violated. The Centre aims at strengthening law and justice for children and child wellbeing by supporting and initiating research, policy advocacy and community action on children related issues. The Centre intends to provide integrated support and consultancy to different layers of institutional governance for protection and insurance of child rights.India is a vast country with many reported cases of child abuse and child labor. There are many kids who do not have access to basic needs such as education and nourishment. Through this centre, CMR inculcates students with both theoretical and practical knowledge so that they are fully-fledged to defend the little ones who otherwise would not be able to stand up for themselves. The Centre is in its infancy stages but will soon mature with the help of the faculties and the enthusiasm of the student body.
