FINE ARTS
The Fine Arts focus elective group is comprised of three (3) full credits from any course from the Fine Art discipline. Performance arts such as Theater, Chorus, Classical Piano, General Band, and Guitar can be taken multiple times for different credit. The reasoning behind this is that no performance art is the same from performance to performance and thus cannot be counted as the same credit. Fine Art credits can be intermingled as they are all considered art. For example: 1 credit of General Music, 1 credit of Visual Arts I, and 1 credit of Theater II together will meet the graduation requirement. These three (3) credits are additional to the initial Fine Art credit listed for graduation requirements. A student who chooses Fine Art as a focus elective group will need to have no less than four (4) Fine Art credits to graduate.
