This course will begin with a look at the ideas that inspired the creation of the United States' founding documents such as the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. We will also study the branches of government and the rights afforded to us by the Constitutional Amendments.
From time to time current events will pop up that I will attempt to explain. My main goal when bringing these events up is to inform students of their importance and help them understand any debates or discussions surrounding politics.
Welcome to Government! I give updates about what we're learning about every once in a while here. We're starting with the basics of governments, including the inspirations for U.S. Government.
We'll be talking about social contracts, the Constitution, and much more.
The biggest thing you'll need to know is that this class is a graduation requirement, and so is the citizenship test. If you have any questions, please email me.
