We plugged in headphones, but we can't hear any sound.
Make sure the sound is on. If you still don't hear anything, click on the speaker icon in the bottom right corner on the desktop. Above the sliding volume control, click the up arrow and make sure "speaker/headphones" is selected.
The laptop is not responding. I know it is charged, but the screen will not turn on even though the power button is lit up.
Hold the power button for 20 seconds. This will do a hard reset on the computer. It should turn the computer off. Wait 10 seconds. Press and hold the power button again until the light comes back on. If this does not work, submit a work order.
How do I know my child's username and password for PLP?
If you go to Classlink (it should be the first page you see when you open a Google Chrome or Firefox browser), find the PLP icon and it will automatically sign your child into the platform.
My student finished an assignment on Benchmark Universe, but we received a message from the teacher that it was not completed. Why can't the teacher see that it is completed?
Make sure that you select "Done" when you are completely finished with an assignment on Benchmark Universe. The only time you don't have to select "Done" is when you are completing an assessment/test. The program automatically marks assessments complete when you submit all of your answers. The virtual background is meant to help with distractions that may occur in the background. A student may become fascinated by another classmate's pets playing behind him/her.
