Our students and staff participate in a variety of activites to celebrate our military families throughout the year!
April is Month of the Military Child and we will celebrate our military students with a week of dress-up days. We will also spotlight some of our military students on the Carmel News Network (live video morning announcements) and they will share about being a military child using guided questions.
On April 15th, Carmel Elementary will wear purple in support of our military students.
In November we honor our military service men and women with a moving Veterans Day performance by our CES Honor Choir for Veterans Day.
Other activities that we do in support of our military families are celebrating the 101st day of school by wearing camo or red, white, and blue. We also have had the Jazz Military Band from Ft. Campbell greet students as they are coming into the building. It is a great big dance party while enjoying some great music. We are always looking for ways for our students to connect with our community.
