Hello! My name is Melissa Castaneda. This is my first year as the Barkers Mill Librarian. I have taught with CMCSS for the past ten years, and I am so excited to take on this new role in the library. I look forward to seeing all of the students and sharing my love of reading with them.

A little about me, I am a mother of three. I have a high schooler, a middle schooler, and a little Bobcat here at Barkers Mill. We love all kinds of animals. We have two dogs, a tarantula, a frog, a bearded dragon, and a chinchilla. When I am not at school or with my family, I love being outdoors kayaking or gardening. I am a lover of plants, and I am in the process of becoming a Tennessee Master Gardener.
