So far my college experience has been a good one. I have had a lot of success in both my schoolwork and athletics as I work toward my dream of becoming a doctor.
I am a psychology major, and I have really enjoyed my classes. I have also had a lot of success with my grades. Last semester I earned a 4.0 GPA and plan to do the same this spring. I am also excited to begin my competitive season in the spring with track and field. I will be working to throw the hammer and discus far as I travel around the state and beyond to compete for University of North Texas and Conference USA. So far, I have already competed in two meets and thrown a personal best that is more than 16 feet over my last years mark. This scholarship has taken a lot of financial strain off of my family and myself as I focus on my school and sports that I have really grown to love.
I plan to go on to graduate school to get my doctorate in clinical psychology. The ease of mind this financial aid created will help as I try to get into grad school. I have gotten through most of my degree while having this scholarship. Although it is only my second year, I have 61 hours and am considered a junior, leaving only four more semesters to finish my degree. I am on track to finish a semester early.
Thank you so much for the help that the Clyde Education Foundation has provided along the way. It has taken financial stress away from my family and I since my first semester, and I am very grateful for the giving community that helped make this possible.

"Knowing that I have been supported from home, through the generous Education Foundation Scholarship, has given me confidence and enthusiasm to work hard on my degree in education. It has made me want to push myself to be a teacher like those who impacted my life from Clyde ISD. I am thankful and blessed!"
