NOW ACCEPTING REGISTRATIONS FOR 2024 CAMP WARRIORS ~ OUR SUMMER CHILD CARE PROGRAM. Full Time only (5 days/wk.). Open to students who have completed Jr. K through 5th grade. Info & registration can be found under the "Camp Warriors Summer" tab.

Junior Warriors IS NOW ACCEPTING REGISTRATIONS FOR OUR JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN WRAP-AROUND PROGRAM FOR SEPT. 2024.  

Registrations for Before & After School care are now being accepted. 

Registrations are accepted year-round.

The Clear Lake School District Junior Warriors (JW) program is designed to provide a safe, supervised, fun, and enriching environment before and after school for children in grades Pre-K through 6th. Care is available on a full time, part time and drop-in basis. Students enjoy many arts and craft activities, free choice, gym and playground games, homework time, field trips, snack time and just plain old fun with friends!

Junior Warriors is also available for Wrap Around care for Jr. Kindergarten students. The hours of care for the Wrap-Around program are 8-12:10 & 11:10-3:15 (opposite of their Jr. Kindergarten session). The hours of operation for the Before & After School program are 6-8:00 am and 3:15-5:30 pm. Junior Warriors is also open on some Non-school days from 6 am to 5:30 pm and during summer school (before & after school) to all families at the elementary school. You must be pre-registered and schedule these days in advance. More info can be found on the "Junior Warriors Wrap-Around Info & Registration" page.

 Goals:

*To provide a safe, healthy, and supervised environment for children in grades PK-6th from 6:00-8:00 a.m. and from 3:15-5:30 p.m.

*To provide Wrap-Around care for Jr. Kindergarten students from 8-12:10 & 11:10-3:15 (opposite of  their Jr. Kindergarten session).

*To provide opportunities for exercise through indoor and outdoor playground games and free play.

*To provide increased opportunities for academic achievement with time devoted to homework help, study time, quiet reading time, and music practice time.

*To provide nutrition with healthy after-school snacks and participation in the school breakfast program.

*To provide enrichment through arts and crafts projects; dramatic, sensory, and imaginative play; board games; computer and music time; and time devoted to exploring new interests.

*To provide opportunities for character development, service learning, and life skills. 

Cost for Junior Warriors

Before & After School 

 AM Arrival Time     

6:00-8:00 AM  $6.00/child    7:00-8:00 AM  $3.00/child  

PM Departure Time     

3:15-4:00 PM  $3.00/child          3:15-5:30 PM  $6.00/child       

 Junior Warriors Wrap Around (Opposite of the child's  Jr. K session) : $18/day/child 

Drop-In Care: $4.00 per hour per child      Early Release Days 12:40-3:15: $8.00/child

Non-School Days: $25/child for full day (6 or more hours)  $15 for half day (less than 6 hours)

Breakfast at school is available and will be charged to the child’s school food service account if taken.

Afternoon snack is provided at no extra cost.

Other Information:

*Children may arrive in the morning anytime between 6:00 and 8:00 A.M. and be picked up in the afternoon anytime before 5:30 P.M.

*If a child is picked up after 5:30 P.M., a late fee of $10.00 per child for every 15 minutes will be charged.  More than 3 occurrences of late pick-up may result in termination from the program.

*A $10 No-Show Fee may be assessed to families that do not notify JW of student absences.
