Cramlington Learning Village Virtual Space
This video explains how to hand in work on Google Classroom
This video shows you how to join a Google Meeting as a Student and talks through some of the things we expect during that meeting.
If your child has an issue with their Chromebook which is under insurance please follow these steps. Note this is slightly different to normal due to social distancing in school.
If you are at home and therefore unable to see anyone in school please email IT@cramlingtonlv.co.uk.
Accidental Damage
Your child should take the device to the student reception in the block you are in
They should make sure it is labelled with their name and also take a written description of
what the damage is
how it happened
when and where it happened
The member of staff there will pass this on to our IT team
We will then look into an insurance claim on your behalf, make this claim and return the device as soon as possible.
Where we can we will provide a loan device, however, this is dependent on how many are available as we have a limited supply of these
Theft
In our experience this is very unlikely but if you do have this issue:
Contact IT@cramlingtonlv.co.uk as soon as you possibly can to report this
We will see if there is a way to find the last known login location of the device to help find it
If lost in school we can also put an email out to staff to ask them if they have come across the device
If definitely stolen e.g. outside of school, you will need to contact the police for a crime number as soon as possible. Pass this on to us so we can use it to make an insurance claim for theft on your behalf
Loss
Contact IT@cramlingtonlv.co.uk as soon as you possibly can to report this
We will see if there is a way to find the last known login location of the device to help find it
If lost in school we can also put an email out to staff to ask them if they have come across the device
Loss is unfortunately not covered by insurance but we will do all we can to help you locate the device and advise you of your options
Malicious/Purposeful damage
Should your child purposefully damage their own device this is not covered by insurance. You can:
Let us know about this as soon as possible
If the device is repairable we will advise this along with a cost for doing so
Student Logins
Students will be provided with their login details in school. If they forget their login details they can ask their learning guide to get in touch with our technicians who can advise what this is. If they have forgotten their password then any teacher in school can reset this for them during the school day.
If you are working remotely and have this issue please contact your child's learning manager who can sort this out.
Parental Portal
If you have any issues with your parental portal login please contact Mr Allen callen@cramlingtonlv.co.uk. Please note we can only provide login details to parents for whom we have permission and will need to check identity.
We surveyed students and parents to find out about technology access at home. If you reported any issues (e.g. have no home device or limited access to the Internet) we should already have contacted you to discuss how we can support.
If you did not complete this survey and wish to discuss home access to technology please contact Mr Spoors pspoors@cramlingtonlv.co.uk.
