FOREST SCHOOL
SS GREAT BRITAIN
This term we enjoyed our trip into Bristol to visit the SS Great Britain. They learnt all about Isambard Kingdom Brunel and all the local engineering projects he designed. The class enjoyed learning how to rivet the panels together creating the hull of the ship. It was very exciting travelling back in time for the launch ceremony. Don’t they all look amazing in their costumes!
This term, Willow Class have been writing their own recipes. First we explored the features of recipes by looking at recipe books, the structure of recipes and sorting items that may be found in them. We also had to try following our own recipe and created our very own 'Piggy Biscuits'. The children were then able to write their own descriptive recipes!
In D.T, the class have really enjoyed designing and creating their own ferris wheels! To begin with their explored and tested wheel mechanisms before working in teams to build their moving wheels. The children were so proud of the results - they are very impressive! Well done Willow Class.
