This term is another is a busy one! Miss Sophie Payne has joined our class. She is a Bath Spa PGCE student teacher who is completing her second placement with us. We are delighted that Miss Payne will be with us until June. She has already begun getting to know our Sycamore students and is looking forward to getting stuck in to the learning we have planned for the next few terms.
We have a lot to look forward to with preparations for our annual Bulb Show on Saturday 20th March, Sycamore Learning Exhibition on the afternoon of Wednesday 1st April and our Homework Grid presentations in the final two weeks of term. Please see the timetable in your homework book for details.
Homework will continue to be set on a Wednesday and will be due in the following Tuesday. Please do not hesitate to contact us if there are any barriers to completing the work at home. We can help by offering support at lunchtimes.
All children have a TT Rock Stars login as well as a DoodleMaths login. Please contact us if your child needs a replacement set of details. TT Rockstar is going really well and the Year 4 pupils are well on their way to mastery of all Times table facts.
We love to read in Sycamore Class. This term we will begin our new class book; The Iron Man. Please ask your children about the book and encourage them to read daily at home when possible.
PE day is still on a Wednesday and we are very pleased that Bath Rugby will be with us this term to support our outdoor PE lessons. Please be suitably fressed for cold weather, Enrichment afternoon will continue to be on a Friday. Please wear PE kit every Wednesday and Friday.

🕰️ A reminder that the school day starts at 8.50 and the children benefit from completing their Early Morning Activity (EMA) every day.
📚 Homework will be set every Wednesday and will need to be returned the following Tuesday. Spelling lists will be available on this website and also in homework books. Children should be completing their weekly target on DoodleMaths. Year 4 pupils should alternate between DoodleMaths and TT Rock Stars to help build their confidence with their times tables ready for the times table check.
🚀 Please make sure you read with your child frequently. Accelerated reader quizzes are completed in school once your child has completed their reading book. Please remind your child to read regularly at home and to bring their book to school every day.
🏃♂️ P.E is on a Wednesday, the children can wear their P.E kits into school on this day.
