Term 5

Hello Rowan class!

I hope you all had a fantastic Easter break and are ready to get back to school. This term we have lots of exciting things happening. We will be starting our Ancient Egypt topic in History - we will be spending a whole day diving deep into the Egyptians! We will also be doing a trip to Greyfield Woods, beginning our swimming lessons and much more! I am looking forward to another term together!

PE

PE days will now be on a TUESDAY. This term we will be doing athletics.

Friday enrichment

This term Friday afternoon enrichment will be swimming. If you have any questions please email Mrs Cowan.

Egyptology day

On the first Wednesday back we will be spending the day in Ancient Egypt! We will explore hieroglyphics, ancient maths, take a look at ancient mythology and find out who Howard Carter is!

Spellings

Spellings will continue to be indivudual for each child. Each child will have the oppotunity to be tested on their spelling every Friday morning and new spellings will be given accordingly. These can be found in their reading records.

We recommend at least 15 minutes of Doodle maths every day to help support your child with their maths knowledge.
