The 31st IEEE Conference on Virtual Reality and 3D User Interfaces (IEEE VR 2024)
1st Workshop on Seamless Reality:
AR Technologies for Seamless Perception and Cognition between Cyber and Physical Spaces
Orlando, FL, USA
Introduction
In this workshop, we will focus on the theme of "Seamless Reality," aiming for the seamless integration of cyber and physical spaces, following the development of VR/AR display technology and perception understanding. We define "Seamless Reality" as a concept that seamlessly integrates physical perception with behavior and cognition between cyber and physical spaces.
Through this workshop, we aim to promote research on the fundamental technologies for realizing Seamless Reality, including AR display systems that enhance the realism of virtual images, AR representation design applying insights from visual cognition and psychology, and physical interactions with AR representations based on changes in physical space and haptic feedback.

FAQ:
When is the submission form open?:
We are preparing the submission form; please be patient and return to the page in the coming days.
What is the definition of the position paper format?
We consider a position paper a medium to present new ideas, theories, early-stage research findings, or thought-provoking hypotheses while ensuring that each claim is backed by substantial evidence or research. Given this motivation, we recommend the format is a concise document that clearly articulates a researcher's viewpoint, stance, or approach towards a specific issue or topic relevant to the workshop's theme. We also consider it essential for the format to contain a definitive statement or assertion by the researcher, supported by relevant materials such as experimental results, survey data, or comprehensive reviews.
Please follow the submission guidelines for the paper format itself.
