Presenters
Our goal is to have an in-person conference. The dates are March 15-19. The theme is Keeping Language and Culture in the Center of Our Hearts..
Note that CLTA will follow the CDC & Tulare County recommendations for mask wearing.
To register use the link below. You will need your session number when your register. Your session number is a letter and a number, for example Q01 and will be provided by the program chair.
CLTA gives the presenters of a three-hour workshop a $100.00 honorarium, as well as one free registration without meals. All pre-conference workshops take place on Thursday & Friday before the conference begins on Saturday, March 18. For presenters of interest sessions, CLTA offers one free registration without meals. Co-presenters do not receive a free registration.
This year the conference schedule will be entirely online using the online program tool SCHED. A helpful tutorial for presenter
In late February or early March you will receive an email with instructions for logging into the SCHED conference site and you will be able to manage your workshop or session - including adding any resources. You will be able to add a link to digital resources or upload documents.
It is recommended when you get the email invitation that you set up your profile, including a profile picture.
Please ask participants to evaluate your presentation. You will get an email from the Evaluation Committee with a link to the evaluation form. After the conference you will receive the evaluations for your presentation. Participants are asked to rate the session/workshop on the following questions:
How relevant was this session?
How well was this session prepared?
Based on the program description, did this session meet your expectations?
How valuable was this session to your teaching or other professional practices?
How was the presenter's knowledge of the topic and/or material?
Would you recommend this presenter for another session?
What were strengths of the session?
What could be improved?
I have a co-presenter. Do they need to register for the conference?
Yes. Co-presenters need to register. Lead presenters receive a free Sat/Sun registration and a workshop. Co-presenters do not receive a free registration. Presenters, Co- presenters and Attendees will use the same link to register. Just be sure to click either "Presenter" or "Co-Presenter" to be guided to the correct registration. REGISTER NOW
Can I give my free registration to my co-presenter?
Yes. Only one free registration per session is allowed. If you are presenting two or more sessions, you can have your co-presenter(s) register as a Lead presenter with the number of the session.
When will I be able to access my session in SCHED.
When the online program goes live in SCHED, you will receive an email invitation to join the conference. Once you do that you will be able to add materials and edit your profile. We recommend you also set a profile picture as well so that you are easily recognizable.
When will I know what day/time I present?
Day/time assignments will be in SCHED. Be sure to check and re-check.
I am a presenter/co-presenter from out of state. Do I need to become a member of CLTA?
No. Presenters from out of state do not need to become a CLTA member. However, we hope that you are also supporting your own state organization.
I would like to sign-up for a workshop. As a presenter from out of state, do I have to the pay non-member price for the workshop?
No. Presenters from out of state are treated as members and are hopefully supporting their own state WL organization.
