We are excited for our first in-person conference in 3 Years!
Greetings CLTA family and friends,
Welcome to the Central Valley! We believe we are the heart of California. This is one of the most productive regions in the state. Not only do we produce more than half of the fruits, vegetables and nuts for the world, but we produce some of the best world language teachers. We welcome you to Visalia on behalf of the Kern County Language Teachers Association which primarily serves world language teachers in Bakersfield and many of whom contribute to the Central California World Language Project. We look forward to learning and growing together the next few days and want to extend our thanks to all of you for being here.
It takes all parts of the body to function, but this weekend we are celebrating the HEART. The heart serves as a network to circulate the blood throughout our body. Think of this weekend as time to check your heart and make sure the networking component is operating at full capacity. Kindle old and begin new friendships with colleagues. Update your professional learning community and get out to enjoy the city. Most of what you need this weekend can be found in walking distance so enjoy! Let’s always remember to keep language and culture in the center of our hearts.
Thank you,
Alexis Frink
