As you prepare for your conference visit here is some helpful information.
CLTA has gone green and the conference program is available only online!
Go to https://2019cltaconferencesanjose.sched.com/ to view the conference program. You can view all sessions and information without logging in, however with an account you can save your schedule.
Registration
Registration for Thursday workshops will be in the City Foyer. The registration table will be open from 8:00-9:30am, 12:00-1:00pm and 3:30-5:00pm.
Registration on Friday (7:00am-6:00pm) and Saturday (7:00am-2:00pm) will be in the Bayshore Foyer.
Parking and Shuttle
Hotel shuttle and parking information can be found on the travel page.
Online Program
CLTA has gone green and has a fully online program. Login to Sched to create and save your schedule. Sort by language. Customize your schedule. Click here to see the online program. Registered and paid conference participants will have received an invite from Sched to login. Check the email account you used to register for the invite. If you don’t immediately see the email, check your Spam folder before contacting Evelyn Bejarano at registrar@clta.net for help.
Exhibit Hall
Don’t forget to visit the Exhibit Hall in the Bayshore Ballroom. On Friday join CLTA in the Bayshore Ballroom for the official Gala Exhibit Opening sponsored by ACIS. On Saturday visit the exhibit hall for a coffee break sponsored by EMC.
Salsa Soirée
Meet old friends and make new ones Friday night (7:30–9:30pm) at our “Salsa Soirée” featuring live latin band Son Chévere, complimentary nachos, a no-host bar, and an optional cuban salsa dance class led by instructor Ryan Mead of the Rueda Con Ritmo dance school.
Continuing Education Credits
If you are planning on earning continuing education credits you will need to visit the Hospitality table in the Bayshore Foyer for the form and to sign up.
Saturday Plenary Speaker
Francisco Jiménez
Author of Cajas de Cartón, Franscico Jiménez will be speaking about The Transformative Power of Multicultural and Bilingual Education: A Personal Perspective at the Saturday Plenary Session.
Franscico Jiménez will be signing books at 10:00am on Saturday in the Exhibit Hall.
From Thursday and Friday Pre-Conference Workshops and Saturday and Sunday Interest Sessions, you'll be sure to find several ideas to innovate with languages.
