About Me

Hello this is Mr. Whitlow! This is my second year teaching and I am very excited for this year and seeing the classroom full of students! I taught Math 1 and Math 2 last year during distance learning and am teaching Math 1 and 2 again this year. I love math and how it can be used to problem solve and model real world situations. I also love education in general and how it can expand one's mind to new things. A meaningful education can cause anyone to be a well rounded person and to achieve their dreams.

I was born and raised in Clovis. I went to Buchanan for High School and graduated in 2014. I then went down to Southern California and studied Accounting at Azusa Pacific University. After graduating from Azusa in 2018, I realized my interests more closely aligned with education and decided to pursue that route instead. Through my experiences working with high schoolers at Hume Lake Summer Camps, and through my substitute and student teaching experiences, I realized education was what I felt called to. I later obtained my teaching credential from Fresno Pacific University and am now teaching full time at Clovis High.

I am 25 years old and love to do things outdoors. Hiking, camping, rock climbing, and skiing are all passions of mine. I also love musical instruments and play the piano often during my free time. I am a big coffee fan. One of my favorite things to do is sit in a coffee shop and work on a project or have a conversation with a friend.

Looking forward to getting to know you all over the course of the school year. Whether you are a student or a parent, please do not hesitate to ask if you need assistance. We're going to achieve some great things this year. Go Cougars!!
