1st-4th Grade
CLASSROOM MUSIC
Every elementary student in grades 1-3 receive 30 minutes of classroom music instruction. Songs and activities are age-appropriate that include music concepts, folk songs, solo and ensemble experiences, improvisation, movement, music-reading readiness, solfege and instrument exploration. Students in grades 1-3 will have the opportunity to perform at the Winter Holiday Program in December.
Students in 4th Grade will receive TWO 30-minute classes per week, one emphasizing choral music and one emphasizing instrumental music with the intent to help students discover their passion as they begin transitioning to 5th grade performing groups. Students in grade 4 will have the opportunity to perform at the Winter Holiday Program in December and the Spring Concert in May.
