About Me

August 2024

Dear Clark Students and Parents,

Hello and welcome to Clark Intermediate School. My name is Brandy Sansom and I will be your student’s 7th Grade AB Teacher. I am looking forward to a wonderful school year in room D-2.  I know this year will be different from your child's elementary experience and I promise to work hard to support you during this time. The transition to middle school can be very challenging for both students and parents and I believe it is my job to help you with this transition and to make 7th Grade a wonderful experience. Together, we got this!

This is my 30th year teaching at Clark. I have taught different courses throughout my career here at Clark.  I was an 8th Grade AB teacher, Activities Director, Elective teacher, Student Responsibility Center teacher, and have been teaching 7th Grade AB and English Language Learners the past few years. I am currently teaching 7th Grade Academic Block and am the ELD Pathway teacher for our grade level. I enjoy working with students from varying backgrounds and look forward to learning and growing with my students throughout the school year.  I believe education is collaborative and requires a team effort. I hope to have a fabulous year with my classes and would greatly appreciate family/parent support in making 7th Grade a wonderful experience for our students.

I was born in Modesto, California and moved to the Fresno/Clovis area when I was eight, where I attended St. Therese then Lincoln Elementary, Kastner Intermediate, and Clovis West High School.  I graduated from Fresno State where I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies and earned my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and CLAD certification. I also completed my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration.

I am the proud mother of three fabulous children. My twin daughters are 26 years old and my son is 22. Hunter graduated from Fresno State in 2020 with a B.A. in Communications and earned the prestigious honor of being a Dean's Medalist and finalist for the Presidential Medal. Hunter completed her Master's degree in Communication Studies from Cal State Northridge.  This is her second year working in the Transitions program at Clovis North High School. Her twin sister, Spencer, is a two time graduate of The Ohio State University. Spencer earned a B.S. in Education in 2020 and completed her Master's degree in Kinesiology - Sport Management in August of 2021 where she was a five year member of the Softball team. Spencer completed the credential program at Fresno State in May of 2024. She is an Elementary Physical Education teacher and the Varsity Softball coach in Kerman Unified. My son, McKay, is a senior at Fresno State and works for Hedrick's Chevrolet. He is studying Kinesiology - Physical Education with the hopes of becoming a Physical Education teacher and coach. I love being a mom and could not be more proud of my three amazing children!

I look forward to meeting all of you and having a wonderful school year on the Chieftain campus!

Sincerely,

Brandy Sansom
