Hey there!!
My name is Mr. Brad Nixon and this is my 27th year teaching in Clovis Unified School District.  I went to Lincoln Elementary, Kastner Intermediate, and then Clovis West High School. After graduating from Fresno State University and earned my teaching credential, I was quickly hired by Clovis Unified.  I started teaching at Lincoln Elementary, (yep, the same school that I opened and went to) then moved over to help build up Bud Rank Elementary, and then to Riverview Elementary in 2016-17.  I have taught 1 year in 3rd grade, 5 years in 4th grade, 2 years in 5th grade, 2 years as a 5/6 grade combo teacher and this is my 18th year in 6th grade.  I come from a family of educators and I'm very excited about teaching.  I love the 6th grade curriculum because it focuses on ancient civilizations such as Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, Rome, China, India, and the Americas.   Children in my class keep me young at heart and I enjoy being in the classroom.  I have also coached in CUSD for 30+ years including wrestling, volleyball, track, cross country, and football.  I enjoy creating personal connections with all students and having fun along the way.  Looking forward to building new relationships while we learn and navigate this memorable year! I strive to make all of my students WANT to come to school!!!!

Riding around in my 1946 Willys Jeep, climbing the Jeep trails, swimming with the kids, lake days in the boat, watching movies, and vacationing with my family making memories with adventures

Mountains, Beach, Las Vegas, cruise ships, out of state MLB stadiums, and anywhere my family is hanging out

San Francisco Giants, San Francisco 49ers, Golden State Warriors, Fresno State Bulldogs, and the Riverview Rams!

My wife Samantha worked 13+ years as a CUSD Admin Assistant/Office Manager, and is now a middle school math teacher in Sanger.  We have 6 awesome kids that attend(ed) Clovis Unified schools.   Our rugrats range from 17-24 years old and keep us VERY busy.  We like to get away on any little vacation possible, which always turns into a great adventure with awesome memories.  In our family of 8, plus the crazy dog Jack Jack, there is never a dull moment.  Example! During quarantine, we did a Bradley Bunch Color Splash themed event, check out the pictures!!
