Hello! I would like to introduce myself, I grew up in Clovis and have been teaching in Clovis Unified for 18 years. My teaching experience has been in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 7th grade. This school year I will be teaching 7th grade academic block for periods 1/2 and 6/7. I will also be teaching world history period 4. I graduated from Fresno State with my BA in liberal studies and a teaching credential in 2006. Before full time teaching, I was a reading intervention teacher and migrant teacher in our district. Learning and education has always been a passion of mine, so I went back to Fresno State in 2009. In 2012, I obtained a master’s degree in reading and language arts and a reading specialist credential.
Besides teaching, I am the competition cheer coach at Alta Sierra Intermediate, am Mom to two amazing kids, Bryson (15) and Joy (12). I have been married for 20 years to my high school sweetheart. My family and I enjoy traveling, cooking, golfing, Dodger baseball, and our “hobby” farm. We entertain ourselves with 8 chickens, 2 sheep, 10 goats, 3 dogs, and 3 cats!
I am looking forward to a new school year at Alta Sierra and am committed to academically challenging and progressing my students towards growth in mind, body, and spirit.
