Chemistry with Mrs. Harris

About me

I love Buchanan and I love Chemistry! The 2026-2027 school year will be my 25th year teaching, and my 18th year teaching at Buchanan High School. I originally taught at Buchanan from 2004 - 2015, then relocated to Santa Clarita (by Magic Mountain), where I taught at West Ranch High School for 5 years.  The relocation was due to my husband's job and it was always our hope to come back to Clovis. We were able to make it back and I am thrilled! 

I have been married for 26 years and have two beautiful daughters who are also part of Bear nation. One of my daughters graduated in 2026 and the other will be a junior at Buchanan this year.  

I LOVE the DODGERS (although I am able to live peacefully among Giants fans) and I really just enjoy sports and outdoor activities in general. I love to spend time at the lake with my family and I love to run and train for marathons! You may see me out on the trails around Clovis.

Whatever this new school year may bring, I believe that we are going to have a great year together! I truly enjoy working with and getting to know my students and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you this year and I look forward to seeing you in class!
