Originally, I am from San Jose, CA and moved to Fresno in 2005 to attend Fresno State.  Toward the end of college, I met my husband who was born and raised in Clovis and is an alumnus of Clovis High.  My very first teaching job was through Teaching Fellows Foundation in the after school ACES program at Weldon Elementary, but my first credentialed teaching job was at McLane High School.  My husband and I moved back to San Jose for 5 years before deciding to start a family, at which point we returned to Clovis.  This is my 7th year here at Buchanan, but my 14th year teaching.   

Outside of school, I love spending time with my family, all things Disney, the beach, reading, and cross-stitching.  I have one son, who will turn seven in December, and he is very excited to be starting first grade this Fall.  My husband is a full time research and development chef. Yes, he is an excellent cook.  No, he doesn't do all the cooking at home, as much as I would love it.  He is also a full-time student at Fresno State.  Go Dogs!
