About Me

Hello, my name is Corrina Torres. I was born in Fresno, California and raised in a small town west of Fresno named Kerman. I have 3 kids, a husband, and 3 dogs. My children are Vilay (already graduated high school) , Tristin (11th grade), and Ethan (9th grade). I met my husband the summer after our 8th grade year, but we didn't start dating until I came home from college (UCSC) in 1998 (I know I'm old). My three dogs are named Cookie (a Maltese), Charlie (a Mini Australian Shepherd), and Zeus (a Pitbull).

This year I am starting my 23rd year teaching math at Clovis West High School, and I LOVE my job.

I believe in always being kind to everyone, even when no one is wathching. And, in being the best YOU, you can be. I love reading anything and everything. As a kid I would hide in the closet and read books. I grew up with a big family, so I found quiet places to read wherever I could. I often burned dinner as a teenager because I would put dinner on the stove, open a book, and forget about the world around me. I was known for always burning the rice. My family still tease me about it to this day, even though I haven't burned a pot of rice since I was a teen. I enjoy crocheting. I know you are thinking only old people crochet, but I have been chrocheting since I was young. I also enjoy bike rides through my neighborhood with my kids, and/or taking my dogs for walks.

Thinking hard does not mean you didn't understand. It means you want to understand.
