My name is Randy Floyd and I’m so excited to begin this wonderful adventure with you. I realize that the road may be a little bumpy at times. We’ll all be learning a great deal as we go, but I’m so happy that I get to begin this adventure with you and your children. I want to ease your mind and let you know that I’m going to work very hard for you and your child. PLEASE DO NOT WORRY! I’m here to help, and I promise you that I’ll always do my best. I will treat your children as I would want my own children to be treated…with love and understanding!
A little about me: My wife, Leticia, and I have twin sons. Their names are Ethan and Evan and they will be in the 8th grade at Alta Sierra Intermediate. As they continue to grow, our family interests continue to change. We’re a HUGE sports family, but we especially enjoy baseball and football. We’re a very close family and we love to spend time with our extended family as well. I’ve been teaching in Clovis Unified for 25 years. I have taught at Sierra Vista, Reyburn, Clovis East, Fancher Creek, and Cole. I have taught 4th-12th grade. In my 25 years, I’ve taught 5th grade for over 10 years. I first came to Cole as a 5th grade teacher, but eventually moved up to 6th grade because of staff needs. Now I’m needed back in 5th grade, so 5th grade it is. I have a multiple-subject credential from Fresno State University. My wife and I place a high value on education in our family, and I hope that I can share those values with your children.
