A Little About Me!

My Teaching Philosophy

I believe that every child is capable of learning, and it is my job to ensure that each and every child learns to the best of his or her ability. My role as a teacher is to educate the whole child through the establishment of an environment that allows each student's unique needs to be met. I believe a classroom consists of a community of learners who bring forth various strengths and abilities. As a teacher, I will maximize student achievement by adapting my instruction to meet their needs.

Education/Experience

SCHOOLING:

  • GO BULLDOGS! I attended Fresno State University and graduated with a B.A. in Mass Communications and Journalism in 2013. I received my Multiple Subject Credential at Fresno State as well the following year. This past spring, I finished my Masters in Educational Leadership at Fresno State. Woohoo!

MY TEACHING JOURNEY:

  • Beginning in March 2015, I was a 4th grade long-term sub at Bud Rank. In August 2015, I started teaching full-time in second grade at Bud Rank, which included a year of coaching girls' basketball, boys' volleyball, and track. I became a Riverview Ram in 2016 and taught first grade, while coaching basketball and softball. The following year I moved to fourth grade (my dream grade!) and was the Student Council Adviser, as well as the JV volleyball and JV softball coach.

This is now my fifth year teaching, and am excited to start the 2019-2020 school year! Go RAMS!
