About ME

I grew up attending Clovis Unified Schools and was a Lincoln Lion, Kastner Thunderbird, and Clovis West Eagle.  I then attended Fresno State for two years before getting married and moving to Twenty-Nine Palms with my husband who was in the United Stated Marine's.  I transferred to CSU San Bernardino where I had a 2 hour commute each way.  I graduated from CSU San Bernardino with my Liberal Studies degree and a concentration in Math.  I then moved back to Fresno and attended Fresno State for my teaching credential.   I also attended Fresno Pacific where I got my Masters in Math Education.

I got my first math job while pursuing my credential.  I taught in Fresno Unified at Wawona Middle school and taught there for 5 years before moving back to my home of Clovis Unified.  I am in my 24th year of teaching with this being my 19th year here at Alta Sierra.  I have taught both math and PE as I received my single subject credential in PE in 2012.  In my years here at Alta I have been a Pep and Cheer advisor (2005-2016)  as well as coached JV girls volleyball, JV girls basketball, and track.  When I am not coaching I enjoy running my 3 huskies, playing golf , and spending quality time with my family.

I have been married for 26 years and have 4 wonderful children, 1 boy and 3 girls.   My husband is also a Math teacher and teaches Math 3 at Clovis High.  My son  just graduated from Fresno State with his BA in Psychology and will be working until he starts his Masters.  My oldest daughter has been living in Germany for over a year where she is currently attending a language school there,  my middle daughter is working and attending college, and my youngest will be a Sophomore at Buchanan where she participates in gymnastics and cheer.
