About Me

Hello! I am so excited to start this new chapter as a Chieftain! I am starting my 21st year in the classroom and I have taught everything from 4th grade to 8th grade. And I LOVE teaching 8th grade. And I love teaching math! Seeing when that lightbulb finally clicks is made is what keeps me going to the classroom everyday and making that connection with students makes me look forward to each and everyday!

I have my degree in Child and Adolescent Development with a minor in K-8 Math from SJSU (Go Spartans!) and got my credential from FSU (Go Bulldogs!!). I fell in love with Clovis during my time at Fresno State and got to do some of my student teaching at Dry Creek. Alas, I ended up going back to San Jose for16 years to teach but am so excited to be back with the Clovis community and the Clark family.

I have two goofy kids. My daughter is a 6th grader and my son is in 2nd grade. We love to go out exploring the forest and spend time camping, at the beach and dirtbiking. We're always looking for great places to explore (especially with cool creeks or swimming holes!) so let me know if you know of some hidden gems!
