Welcome to Buchanan! I am in my 22nd year of teaching, my 6th year at BHS. I teach RSP Study Skills, ACE Science 2, and support in the classroom in English 9 and Biology. I have a BA from Fresno State and a MA from Fresno Pacific University.

I love the outdoors and adventure. When not teaching, I'm off with my family backpacking, snow skiing, or hanging out at one of our nearby lakes. We spent some time this summer exploring lava caves, kayaking, zip-lining (a first for me), and hiking through the redwoods.

My teaching philosophy. Do your best, without question. Live your life with respect, treating everyone in your life with value and gratitude. I believe we owe this to all students, as well as our staff and community, to bring consistency, diligence, and warmth to my job is a hope that I can ultimately inspire and encourage such traits in others.
