I'm Mr. Tucker
I am thrilled to be teaching your student at THE Clovis High School. The 2026-2027 school year will mark my eleventh year working at Clovis High and my eighth as a teacher. Before teaching, I worked as part of the Clovis Area Impact Team (formerly the Transition Program). I have been married to my beautiful wife since December 2017. This year, I have the privilege of teaching AP U.S. Government and Politics and AP U.S. History. I strive to make my classroom a place where students feel supported and encouraged to learn about the people and stories from the past that have so significantly impacted our nation and the global community that surrounds us. My wife is a Clovis High alumna and a graduate of San Joaquin College of Law. We welcomed our first child, Callum, in March 2024.
I bled blue long before I came to work at CHS. I grew up in the L.A./O.C. area and am a Dodger fan through and through.
This is Jed! We adopted him in May 2022.
I am the first member of my immediate family to graduate from college. I earned my BA in History and my Single-Subject Teaching Credential from Fresno State.
In July 2026, I graduated with my MA in American History from Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, PA.
My grandparents were both first-generation Americans born to Mexican immigrants.
My grandfather served in the Navy during WWII. After, he went on to earn college degrees from CSU Dominguez Hills, Pepperdine, and UCLA. He passed on his love of learning to me and always encouraged me to "Get the smarts!"
My grandmother dropped out of high school to go to work in order to support her family. At 60 years old, she graduated with her high school diploma.
